hello I am looking for an alternative to the xg2431 which is not found in europe.
I am looking for a 240hz 1080p monitor, with perfect motion blur if possible lol and that supports strob utility
Alternative xg2431
Re: Alternative xg2431
If u're ok with TN try some of the latest Zowie monitors.

Re: Alternative xg2431
XG270 is BB Approved but doesn't work with strobe utility.
Idk, XL2546K and similar models work with utility. XL2566K is not officially supported but I see users report it works too.

Re: Alternative xg2431
Thank you for your answers
for the xl2546k.
does the dyac parameter work at all refresh rates? or is it a setting that only works at high fps?

Re: Alternative xg2431
in fact I would like to buy the xg2431 but in europe I can't find it..
Re: Alternative xg2431
There is no "perfect motion blur". I'm assuming you meant lack of/no motion blur.
The only way to achieve this is to bruteforce fps&hz, going up to 1kHz or strobing.
Strobed monitors and good implementations are rare. The only worthwhile implementations (supporting BB strobe utility) are the XG2431 (60-240hz range, tuned by Chief), the XL2566K (100-240hz is supposedly crosstalkless, below that is gimped by BenQ to "save users from flicker") and other BenQ 240hz models.
The higher the refresh rate of a panel, the less crosstalk/faster the panel is, resulting in better strobing.
1440p segment is very stale when it comes to strobing implementations (MSI QD panel and S2417DG have decent strobing iirc, but locked at 1 refresh rate), perhaps the new OLED monitors with software BFI might make it better.
4k strobing is subpar at best, apart from OLED TV implementations.
I'd say the XL2566K, for 100fps and up content, is as good if not better than the XG2431 when it comes to strobing. It made the older BenQ offerings look redundant imo.
Also, the XG2431, from latest rumours, is coming to Europe in spring 2023, might be worth waiting for that if you can't take 6bit+frc and TN viewing angles of the BenQ models.
Re: Alternative xg2431
so according to what you tell me, the only valid strobe screen at 60fps and the xg2431, I'm sad

Re: Alternative xg2431
Just got an email 10 minutes ago from ViewSonic that the XG2431 is available in Europe (atleast in Romania). So it might be worth it to wait a bit if it isn't available in your country yet.
