BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
eSports is not your casual gaming use game. We are talking 10-16 hours a day of the same static HUD elements / Crosshair on screen for the entire duration, and medium-high brightness as well. It would also need to be running at at least 240 hz.

Yes, but developers of eSports games can contribute to care OLED monitors, for instance in CS:GO is not needed see crosshair when players are selecting weapons at round start. This sure reduce crosshair burn in. If they make similar with the rest of UI, should help.
240Hz without BFI not seems a problem, this TV refresh pixels at this frequency internaly. 120nits with pure blacks is amazing native static contrast, clear dark zones, without excessive brightness in day outdoors, without color deviations due to altered gamma using Black eQualizer. Moreover, from input lag viewpoint, is better true static contrast than processed one, all signal processing take a bit of time, and in this market, each ms matter.

For more information, see Motion Blur Reduction FAQ. Get used to enabling/disabling DyAc, and deciding if you like using it. Then read Strobe Utility as well as the Strobe Utility Adjustment HOWTO to help optimize.
P.S. If you hate the duplicate images, try 120Hz-182Hz tricks, as seen in CRT Nirvana Guide For Disappointed CRT-to-LCD Upgraders, since refresh rate headroom improves strobe quality and eliminates a lot of jittering & double images.
240Hz is high enough that it's a blur reduction method by itself (75% less blur than 60Hz) if you decide to turn off DyAc.
That said, many like DyAc, depending on how it is tweaked.

Rtings purchased the XL2546k yesterday (together with the PG259QN), it's a matter of time before they review the two units.

That 60hz is double strobing.
You can tell by the extra number of UFO images behind the main one.
Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
Those ufo tests look really bad with DyAc off, but I guess you always use DyAc with the Benq anyway
