@Discorz no, nothing enabled. G-Sync disabled on the monitor, and in NVCP. NVCP = Fixed Refresh, Vsync Off
EDIT: tried making a video again and it's not the same as what I'm seeing.. I think it's my iPhone.
EDIT2: are there specific settings on the UFO test to test by? If I set the Pixels per Sec to 240 I can get a better video. That seems to slow down the scrolling of the image.
EDIT3: transferred the .mov file to my main rig (120Hz monitor)
Pic is from my PG259QNR 240 pixels per second, not 960

i did it now with manual settings is it fine or do i have to get closer and only follow one ufo?Discorz wrote: ↑29 Jun 2021, 09:15Still the same.
Try with theese basic instructions.
Backlight strobing enabled?BTRY B 529th FA BN wrote: ↑29 Jun 2021, 08:32That image of the PG259QN does not reflect what I see with mine at 360Hz. I've been trying to do a video with my iPhone 7 HD 60fps and I can't record a video that reflects what my eyes see. I think I'm not holding the phone steady and it's trying to focus.
EDIT: my eyes are seeing more like what the VG279QM @ ELMB 280Hz and MAG251RX AMB 240Hz shows.
Usually parts around alien eyes, white windows/lights and black lines in between is hard to perfectly capture, everything else can be very close.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
This is much better.
But image detail i burnt out lost due to high ISO setting. Try lower or reduce monitor brightness until you get the closest result your eyes see.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
240pps speed is way too slow to test motion performance. Thats why it looks so clear. 960 is default and stick to that one and use ghosting test instead of "stars" background. Even tho 1920+pps would be a better speed to match fast gaming motion.
Try different camera settings
There are already a bunch of pursuit shot of PG259QN /R. Check em in this collection.

another try its not that easy https://youtu.be/xKW3tKpvDLU
Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Getting there, more details, pronounced steering wheel... Looks better.
Ghosting trail seems to be missing because its too dark. Use higher recording resolution if u have.

Could ya'll vote for this monitor to be reviewed by RTings? Think they'll do a good job at telling us if it's good.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
There we go. Same as the other image on page 11. However it still appears cleaner with my eyes rather than this image so I'm suspecting there's a problem with my testing method and under par hardware. My iPhone can shoot 1080p at 60fps, other modes are 4k 30fps, 1080p 30fps, 720 30fps.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
There you go. Good . PG259QN @360Hz OD Normal
It appears cleaner in reality because the focus is a bit off and ISO is on a high side + 4k30 will do better.
