[XG2431 Europe?] ViewSonic XG2431 alternatives for Europe?

Post by Gwyndael » 20 Aug 2021, 18:31

With the lack of availability of the XG2431 in Europe, what are some good alternatives to consider - either currently available on the market, or due for release before the end of the year?

Thanks in advance for any input :)

Depends on why did you want to buy XG2431 in first place. What features are you interested in?

Primarily motion blur reduction.

Prior to the announcement of the XG2431, I was advised to get the XG270.

From what I've read/heard about the XG2431 since its announcement, it seems to be the upgraded version of the XG270 which is what interested me.

XG270 IPS
XL2546K TN
_
MAG251RX IPS
VG259QM IPS

I wouldn't buy any of these tho. Better wait for EU supply.

Thanks for your recommendations.

Is there an update on the XG2431 coming to Europe?

Last I heard from ViewSonic was that it wasn't being stocked by ViewSonic Europe at all.

Yeah, ViewSonic have said to several people on here that they aren't stocking it in Europe. It's why I posted this thread asking for alternatives.

Asus VG248QE; so long overdue for an upgrade.

How much worse would a VG279QM be compared to XG2431? Were there UFO comparison shots posted anywhere?

XG2431
Ultra PureXP+ enabled, non-QFT (crosstalk can be improved) 120Hz and 240Hz

improved crosstalk/QFT 120Hz: download/file.php?id=1768

VG279QM
ELMB enabled, 120Hz and 280Hz

upclose top-middle-bottom screen photos: viewtopic.php?p=67115#p67115
more ufos: download/file.php?id=1297

- notice overshoot/coronas on VG 120Hz shots. This can't be fixed since overdrive is locked with ELMB enabled. This means it will start to distract you bellow 200Hz, 200-280Hz is good.
- XG2431 doesn't have such issue
