Where's the stock of Asus ROG Swift's?
Where's the stock of Asus ROG Swift's?
I "ordered" an ROG Swift on tigerdirect a month ago, and figured out near the very end of checkout that I was actually back-ordering one. I checked stock with all other e-retailers at the time, and only found a couple selling on Amazon for inflated prices. So I've been sticking it out. Sent emails to ASUS and TigerDirect on estimations on product delivery, but no one can give me an answer. I'm becoming a little bit frustrated, I'm assembling a very expensive custom PC to go along with this monitor. Without the monitor, the build is nothing. I've been reading a lot of complaints about different issues from different forums, including this one. Is ASUS having QC issues with this monitor, is that why it's taking so long for the e-tailers to get stock? I know this isn't a technical question, but this is really starting to bug me. Thanks if anyone has anything to share.

It seems all G-Sync monitors have this issue.

Hey, a huge shipment of ASUS ROG monitors arrived last Wednesday in North America and all the retailers have been rushing to fulfill the back orders with it. So hopefully there will be more available this week.

Did I say last Wednesday, new ETA is the 18th! (Saturday) from Asus. Yay for supply changes.

The Acer isn't available either, and never has been where I live.

Sorry, what was the issue the monitor was having? I have recently starting following the ROG Swift but have not read many reviews.RealNC wrote:It seems all G-Sync monitors have this issue.

No it's not, so I'm surprised you missed this line:RealNC wrote:Uh, low availability? This isn't such a long thread, you knowweapon wrote:Sorry, what was the issue the monitor was having? Sounds like there are various "issues" with the monitor, but the OP does not say specifically what the issues are. I am aware of the low availability, but OP is hinting that the low availability is due to ISSUES with the monitor.I've been reading a lot of complaints about different issues from different forums, including this one. I do understand your post seems to be directly related to low availability, but it seemed you may have been also hinting about a known issue with the monitor, causing said low availability.
Re: Where's the stock of Asus ROG Swift's?
I'm not the OP but I've done my research and some people have:
- Dead pixels
- Weird lines
- Sandust looking issue
However......... Those are more the exception rather than the rule. (You hear about everyone that has issues but the hundreds that are fine never come in and say anything!)
There's a spreadsheet on another forum where most people claim it theirs was 100% fine with 2-3 people saying they had to return it for dead pixels.

Re: Where's the stock of Asus ROG Swift's?
Thanks guys. I'm still optimistic supply will return soon, and tigerdirect will honor their backorder, it's been a month and 3 days now. I also hope you're correct, ericl, that the people having issues with this monitor are very small yet vocal. If mine DOES have a problem, I can only hope ASUS is very prompt with returns considering the price of this monitor. I'll definitely be reporting back with my experiences after I get it.
Oh and Chief Blur Buster...let's get that review out :p
