S/FTP ethernet cable and interference

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Re: S/FTP ethernet cable and interference
It's complicated to locate the problem... the field is much too wide and this leaves room for too much probability.
Internet: modem? cabling? routing? interference?
interference: faulty wiring? too old not up to standard? in the house, city where you live (interfering who neighbors, factory, city infrastructure, in short, surrounding things)
electrecity: same basis as with interference...

@widow13
although I have recently favored a UTP cable compared to your testimony and the information gleaned here and there.
My current UTP cable is old so I ordered three more which I will receive today.
A pure copper cat 6 UTP, another pure copper cat 5e UTP and another category 6 from another brand.
I will let you know

My game still works perfectly fine with the new cable and the double conversion UPS and haven't had any issues since.Riggedinho wrote: ↑07 Jun 2024, 01:18@widow13

Hey @widow13
One last message to thank you for your feedback, it pushed me to do a lot of research on this subject (I'm naturally curious).
After receiving my 3 different Ethernet cables (mentioned above) I certainly opted for: UTP cat 6 in pure copper.
specialists recommend a UTP cable for “domestic use” (as they say in their jargon)

Re: S/FTP ethernet cable and interference
Thanks, I just ordered, I've changed a lot of cables in past year. That means I've tried cat 6 7 and 8 but I didn't had knowledge about tech specs, so most of them was so cheap, means all the cables acting good for 10-15mins as you said, and the phenomena without cable(my game run so smooth), then the desync comeback, maybe u were right about cables.(i hope so
) I just ordered two of them
