ok. I see what you're talking about. Does test ufo do the same thing?
https://www.testufo.com/ghosting Is there this shaking and forward-backward movement?
As for games. Is your mouse 1000Hz? Do you have a gamepad? Can you check if the same thing happens when you moving with a gamepad?
Also, in some games you can assign the camera rotation left to right to the keyboard (mostly these are old games).

It does yes. My mouse is set to 1000hz. I've tested 500. It persists with a controller. I also tested in an in-game benchmark to see camera behavior when not controlled. I persistsTN_fun wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024, 13:52ok. I see what you're talking about. Does test ufo do the same thing?

Gotta post your specs when you need help on something like this.ticoex wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024, 00:10Hi all,
I've been having persistent micro-stutter, despite high fps, in multiple games and the system as a whole. Id describe it as 300fps feeling like 60. Upon further inspection using a 960fps slowmo video, it looks as if the frames are vibrating back and forth. It seems to be associated with a very high reading on LatencyMon. Every now and then I try to figure it out, but always end up without any progress or solution. I'm hoping that somebody on this forum might be able to help or at least point me in the right direction. I've made posts on Tom's Hardware, Superuser, Guru3d and PCHelpForum and have not made progress following the troubleshooting steps they provided. I found this forum and figured a more display centered approach might help. I'm starting to believe that all the correct frames are being rendered, but they're being displayed "out of order." to me this implies an issue at the end of the render pipeline. I'm a layman and don't fully understand how to trouble shoot this. I'm thinking something along the lines of frame-by-frame analysis of footage taken from a capture card.
I couldn't share the links to my other forum posts here. I'm hoping i can reply with them as there is a significant amount of recorded troubleshooting steps and supporting conversation. If not, I'll post the titles here so you can look them up:
Guru3d- "Persistent and hard-to-diagnose microstutter"
SuperUser- "How would I go about differentiating between an issue that lies with the CPU vs one that lies with the RAM vs one that is tied to the Motherboard"
TomsHardware- "Hard to diagnose/research: Persistent jitter, stutter, and screen tearing"
PCHelpForum- "Impossible to research; persistent frame stutter/jitter"
As an aside, I've now seen close to a dozen posts, videos, and replies that have very similar symptoms for years and no solution. It seems like something of a pattern. I'm also happy to share links to the other posts I've found.
It can literally be anything, from bad drivers or drivers conflicting with bios and even broken hardware.
Have you tried downgrading your pcie to gen3 ?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qWjVxH Here is a list of my specs. Not listed is my storage. 2x NVMEs, SATA SSD, 2 older 1tb HDDS. I havent tried that. Ill give it a go and see. There are two symptoms that might be related: very high LatencyMon readings, and my monitors will occasionally flash black for maybe a secondwidow13 wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024, 15:08Gotta post your specs when you need help on something like this.ticoex wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024, 00:10Hi all,

Also, try this driver to make sure it's not the driver, I don't have issues with this one.
Use DDU to get rid of the previous first.

I've included the stats page too. I didnt include all drivers, just those with a DPC count and execution. Similarly, i did the top of the Processes tab. I did try a DDU reinstall of VGA driver before but ill try again with the file you listedwidow13 wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024, 15:21

Try the driver I sent you and see if it makes any difference.ticoex wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024, 15:54I've included the stats page too. I didnt include all drivers, just those with a DPC count and execution. Also, check event viewer/windows logs/system for any errors.

Another thing came to my mind. Have you tried different ports on your GPU? as well as other cables (DP/HDMI)? Make sure to also get a proper versionticoex wrote: ↑25 Nov 2024, 15:11https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qWjVxH Here is a list of my specs. Not listed is my storage. 2x NVMEs, SATA SSD, 2 older 1tb HDDS.
