Hi everyone!
The monitor is for my best friend's sister.
Her PC :
i7 11700K
32GB RAM
RTX 3060Ti
games that she's playing : CS2 (not exclusively), DyingLight, CyberPunk, maybe some AAA titles and many more MultiPlayer games.
I want to put an emphasis on IMAGE QUALITY - I was thinking maybe 1440P ? I just dont know what panel should I choose (IPS/OLED perhaps?) and if I should opt for 240Hz or just 144Hz.
Budget is like 500 Euros (MAX) .
P.S she never experienced anything over 60hz in her life.
#2 P.S. She prefers a white model . I was thinking GIGABYTE M27Q-X or something like that? there are many models, 180hz is what I looked at.
Advice about a new 1440P display - confused about new models on the market

Opt for 1440p 240hz

the ASUS TUF looks amazing and its white - She really persisted on getting a white setup - maybe except the mousepad.
but how does it compare to the Alienware one? in terms of performance? I see that the Alienware is Fast "Nano" IPS and the Asus is just Fast-IPS.
I myself have experience only with TN panels (own a 360hz zowie) , and tried only one "Fast-IPS" which is the AOC 24G2U and it was very bad.
isnt 240hz @ 1440p too harsh on just the 11700k w/ 3060Ti ?

They perform identical, as any other 1440p 240hz IPS panel.b0t wrote: ↑12 Feb 2025, 14:44the ASUS TUF looks amazing and its white - She really persisted on getting a white setup - maybe except the mousepad.

No, it isn't “harsh” at all, it's the most optimal purchasing decision.
In this price budget, especially if looking at displays which have white plastic outer, these are the only options.
The only other, better, option than this are 240hz OLED or 360hz OLED.

People tend to completely stomp Asus panels like the one you posted. saying it will work only for the warranty period, having random black screens etc etc.
the Alienware is cheaper in my country (about 60 usd cheaper) and it looks better (build quality also looks better)
which one would u get? (by the way do Alienware monitors have strobing tech?)
Re: Advice about a new 1440P display - confused about new models on the market
can somebody help me with this ?
