Dell G2724D - Vertical lines in lower half?

Post by wBoop86 » 22 Feb 2025, 08:29

Hello! I just got the Dell 27" G2724D. I really enjoyed it at first for my poker sessions and initially also for gaming - Till I noticed a vertical grey line in the lower 1/4 of the monitor, spanning across the entire monitor.

Is this something I can refund for? I dont assume its intended? Can it be fixed on my end?

/ Thomas.

Unless it's an issue with the cable and using another one fixes it, I'd send it back.

Not sure how often a new cable out of the box is faulty. I dont have any other cables to check with.

Can a GPU (My RTX 2080) be responsible for causing it? Or is that unlikely?

Also can someone explain what it is called? I see alot of results for screen tearing, but it doesnt look like the picture being cut in half. Its just a faint grey line.

I don't know what causes it. I would simply RMA the monitor.

Already in the process. Just trying to make sure its not my GPU/Motherboard causing that artifact.
