Hello, I would like to know if there is anyone else here who has the same problem as me? I don't know if I am the only one, but I can't find an answer, and this has been happening to me for several years now, 2015 I think.
Where the Nvidia control panel becomes super slow, as you can see here in the video, besides I have another problem that when I try to write with my keyboard is usually very slow in certain browser extensions, or places ... I doubt that I have a keylogger because I use the auto-runs program sysinternals
even so I could be wrong, the thing is that like everyone here in this forum I am someone unhappy that I do not enjoy playing competitive games, I have the peek advantage, I have inputlag, what a game shows me on screen is not what it seems, people move faster than me, they shoot me before, and this also applies to rpg/mmorpg/car games.
Here in the video you can see how slugglish/laggy is the manage 3d settings in global, also i don't know why the maxframe keep appearing as 58 fps even if its off? I don't know if Nvidia somehow is saving a configuration in the registry? I have tried to do a clean installation of the driver itself whether is by extracting modifying the installation file, or by using software such NVCLEAN, or by installing normally, and problem persist, even by using old drives.
So as usual, I do apologies for my poor grammar and for to much text, here the video
Nvidia control panel sluggish
Re: Nvidia control panel sluggish
Have you tried uninstalling with DDU and then install the drivers? The whole procedure should be done without being connected to the internet (if on Ethernet, just pull the cable before using DDU and only plug it in again after you installed the drivers again.)pcenthusiast92 wrote: ↑25 Sep 2024, 19:16Here in the video you can see how slugglish/laggy is the manage 3d settings in global, also i don't know why the maxframe keep appearing as 58 fps even if its off? Re: Nvidia control panel sluggish
Hi RealNC, thanks for your comment. Yes I have tried to run DDU in safe mode without network, but having the ethernet cable plugged, do you want me to try it again but this time without the ethernet cable plugged?
Also now that you mention the network thing
So should I do this steps:
1- boot safe mode
2- unplug ethernet-cable
3- Run DDU to uninstall nvidia drivers
4- Start Windows without safe mode, go to official website manually download the nvidia drivers
5- Extract Nvidia drivers with 7zip do the modifications to remove bloatwares
6- Proceed to unplug ethernet cable, and then install Nvidia drivers?
Would this make sense?

Re: Nvidia control panel sluggish
I'm afraid it didn't work
As showed in the video I trimmed the nvidia drivers leaving just the necessary, also I have done this before without removing any single folder and problem persist.

1. Make sure you have the driver installer downloaded already.
2. Unplug cable.
3. Boot into safe mode.
4. Uninstall with DDU.
5. Boot into normal mode.
6. Install driver.
7. You can connect to the internet now.
The reason is that if you boot into normal mode while connected to the internet, Windows will by default install the nvidia driver and control panel from windows update, which might be causing you issues. You want to install the drivers and control panel through the nvidia driver installer instead without Windows installing anything else in-between.

Re: Nvidia control panel sluggish
Ah I see, but in my case I did block manually the windows update through gpedit.msc.RealNC wrote: ↑27 Sep 2024, 01:17No:pcenthusiast92 wrote: ↑26 Sep 2024, 15:13Hi RealNC, thanks for your comment.
