Does CTA-861 triple buffer frames?

Everything about latency. This section is mainly user/consumer discussion. (Peer-reviewed scientific discussion should go in Laboratory section). Tips, mouse lag, display lag, game engine lag, network lag, whole input lag chain, VSYNC OFF vs VSYNC ON, and more! Input Lag Articles on Blur Busters.

Deleting every extension block is the best if your monitor can handle it.
I wonder how this works between GPUs and Windows versions?

With Intel UHD 630 (.2134 latest drivers), on Windows 10 and CRU I don't see anything under extension blocks (there's Default but it doesn't show info). Iirc deleting it caused my TV display to not do Full RGB on HDMI.

With Windows 11 and CRU I have CTA under extensions and a bunch of HDMI stuff.

Always do this cru topology trick for gaming. Improve input lag by a tons. But DisplayÌD2.0 make my monitor audio port become none fuction. Is there any wordaround?
Thank to khorviet CRU trick i can play cs2 on a full window install now. With all security feature turned on. No worry about input lag any more.

Where exactly did you get all these, if Microsoft doesn’t document them?
Are these rhetorical questions? Do you still not understand the level of education of the people present on this forum? This is the result of politics and selection by the admins—we tolerate idiots, so what outcome do you expect? It’s like a scene from the movie Idiocracy.

I know this may sound rude, but it's the truth. This 'problem' has existed on this forum for over 10 years. Older users have been saying, 'Hey kids, we've known about this issue for more than 20 years!' But uneducated newcomers ignore this and still believe in some magical setting in the latest version of Windows."

"If this issue also exists on Linux and macOS, isn’t that a clear indication that it's not an operating system problem? This should be obvious to anyone with an IQ above 70. Yet, many here still waste time searching for a 'magic' Windows setting while completely ignoring the fact that the same problem exists across different operating systems."

"And if this 'problem' has existed for over 20 years, then clearly, it’s not caused by modern hardware or technology. Right? Again, it doesn’t take a genius to figure this out."

"Lastly, no one is even discussing what's actually in Valve’s source code. What parts were originally copied from the ID Software engine? How exactly does the code work? What game mechanics are implemented in these addictive network shooters? Understanding this requires real knowledge of C++ and, more importantly, assembler—because the most critical parts of the engine are written in assembly."

The game engine's source code consists of **80,000 files**, similar in scale to an entire operating system like FreeBSD. Just take a moment to think about that.

On top of this, you need to have a critical mind to uncover the most important question: **Why do modern, most popular games work this way—where one day you play like a pro, and the next, like a complete noob?**
Once you answer that, you’ll finally understand everything.

For example, the old **steampowered.com** forum had over **1,000 pages** discussing this "problem" back in 2005. I had conversations with Valve developers where this issue was repeatedly brought up for years.
But the first time I posted **this perspective**, the discussion was immediately closed and deleted. This is real—I’m not joking.
That was the moment I got my first confirmation: I was right. This was deliberately implemented to keep players addicted.
And yes, this was deliberately designed to make you addicted. That’s the whole point.

If you were always a pro, noobs would get discouraged and quit. If you were always a noob, you’d stop playing too.
That’s why your skill level constantly fluctuates, keeping you stuck in the middle. In the end, you keep playing endlessly, believing that one day you’ll reach the top—but so does everyone else.
This is exactly why everyone keeps playing. A simple, yet incredibly effective system designed to keep you hooked forever.

Do you know what the real genius of this game is? From the very start, a **default latency of 110ms** was added between you and the server.
This latency is **manipulated by the server**—if you're playing poorly, your latency decreases; if you're playing too well, your latency increases.
A simple yet incredibly effective system. And since you're all still addicted… I must be right, huh? 😊

"And where can you find this code? Valve already lost the Half-Life 2 source code in 2002 or 2003 I don't remember, which Counter-Strike is based on, and they lost the CSGO source code again nine years ago, google it you can find. All the answers you need are there. You just have to learn C++ and assembler. Good luck, my placebo-believing kids.
I have no idea why I even wrote this—my dog understood it faster than you did. That’s honestly sad.

I have no idea what else I could say to make you look at this "problem" from a different perspective.

Respect to Valve—you guys are truly genius.

shizo, do you understand assembler and c++? Provide me with a proof of code where a 110ms delay is added.

I can, but you must confirm first. If this happens, you will write: 'I am a fucking idiot, and everything I wrote in this forum was at a monkey's level, I was so stupid and didn’t understand that no matter what I do, the server nullifies it and creates latency whenever it has a reason to. I am a dumbfuck.' Deal? I never said this would be simple—you have to pay. Pay with your own reputation on the line ;),before yourself.I've been waiting for this moment—getting into Valve's source code from 2005. ;). I like dumb monkie, this very funny.

i think you dont even read what the actual site admin wrote, and also hayote wrote no extension block is better, and this tweak has no real source / prove,no one did benchmark with this like, wtf are you even talking ?

Some of them are real but like many other reg keys they just don't make a difference or can't override settings. If you take the setting MouseAccel in HKCU\Control Panel for example, it is going to make a difference if you set it to something other than 0. It is going to add mouse acceleration but the value is set to 0 or -, mouse accel is still going to be present in games where it's forced.
Also many people mentioned my method of deleting extension blocks in CRU, so I want to clarify that I don't claim it to be the proper way of doing your monitor settings, just how it seems like bloat that can be deleted this way.
