FACEIT ANTI-CHEAT SOFTWARE END USER LICENCE AGREEMENT:
7.4 Nothing in this Agreement excludes the liability of FACEIT 7.5 Subject to clause 7.4, FACEIT disclaims all warranties that there are no viruses or other harmful components.

Is this done so that people who downloaded the client from a third-party site do not sue them or does Faceit mine bitcoins from my GPU?

Why would they care if you download from third party site?
