I fixed my floaty/ heavy feeling after a long time struggling to find out by disabling xmp (extreme memory profile)in BIOS, while installing windows. The overclocked RAM probably caused instability causing issues while installing windows, which led to corrupted files, services, drivers causing the symptoms.
What I don‘t understand is why many mainboards have xmp enabled by standard when it causes issues while installing OS?
Edit: I noticed a significant difference in time while installing windows aswell. - With xmp enabled, it took way longer( about 2x as long), which if you think about, would'nt make any sense.

Have you tested your RAM with XMP enabled? Like at least two full passes of memtest86+ booted from a USB stick:
https://memtest.org
It's relatively common for newly purchased RAM to be bad, or to go bad within only a couple months.

Yes, I tested it, but there were no Issues with the RAM. Probably some incompatibility, between windows, power, RAM or Mainboard

Hey. On previous system did you feel any changes enabling/disabling xmp or you felt the difference only when you turned it off before installation? After the brand new windows did you try to turn it on back again or not?Randomguy007 wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 07:32Yes, I tested it, but there were no Issues with the RAM. only after installing windows while disabled. No, I didn't try to put it back on, as I‘m scared that a windows update will be causing these issues again.kriegsnake wrote: ↑21 Mar 2025, 09:01Hey.
