XG2431 Newbie help! (Fortnite / Competitive)

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, ToastyX, black frame insertion (BFI), and now framerate-based motion blur reduction (framegen / LSS / etc).

XG2431 Newbie help! (Fortnite / Competitive)

Post by SleebySaya » 29 Mar 2025, 20:17

Hello,

(mind you, I'm a complete tech newbie, so I'm sorry in advanced if what I write below is stupid to you) :/

After trying around a thousand settings I lost hope. I just don't understand how to configure this monitor for Fortnite Competitive. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me out with this one.

My specs:
RTX 3080 / 5800x / 32 GB DDR4-3600 / SSD

I cant get higher than 200 fps (stable) in fortnite.

The best result I got is when I used
Vsync: on
Monitor: 180hz
Ingame: Capped fps to 180
PureXP: Normal

I don't really know if these are the best settings, it just "felt" the best to me.

Guys, what settings would you use with the info given above to achieve least amount of input-lag and motion clarity?

Anything would help really.
