So I tried a fiber hdmi (8k capable)

Mouse was maybe little little little bit more accurate but much more laggy aswell (laggy similar to gpu scaling vs display scaling)
Again I dont have grounding and there is two converters on the cable u know

Image quality became sharper tho. Returned it anyway
which scaling is better for u the display or gpu ?
Display scaling has lower lag on every setup I tried
However gpu scaling makes games visualy better when fps is not locked to hz. ( Less %1s? idk)

I always prefered display scaling
Just to pitch in my 2 cents as well, I agree with your finding on Display scaling.

Ever since I got the 540hz ASUS, for whatever reason, Display scaling felt way superior in terms of feeling "lower lag".
what new dp cable u use?

As for all the unstable RAM talk, I know for a fact that is not my issue. In fact, I have in the past tried swapping in slower, more "reasonable" RAM like 2133mhz I believe it was. No difference.
I hope you've also reinstalled your operating system afterwards and/or resetting bios to default settings as well, since the OS can get corrupted from a unstable overclock very easily and lead to a degraded experience.

If you have, then congratulations on finding your issue!

Just to be clear, does this occur to you with any copper Displayport/HDMI cable you try?
Have you evaluated your environment with a spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope?

Do you have any wireless devices close to your HW?
Could you detail which electric devices are close to your HW?
Do you think your issue is based on conducted interference or radiated interference?

Good afternoon, everyone, I'm from Russla, I use a translator. Yesterday I came across this post and was very interested in this story, today I bought an hdmi optic cable and at the moment I'm going home and I'm going to test it. I'll write my impressions later.
i had same cable, that have ground pin.

Is there a difference between a fiber optic DisplayPort cable and an HDMI cable?

ofcourse, a regular copper hdmi or dp cable is way way more affected by emi than a optic fiber one.Mostly when the cable exceeds 2+ Meter, but if you have high EMI it can even get interference at short distance cables (-1 meter)

What was the observed effect after using the fibre optic cable, and am I mistaken or is there also copper contained in that wire?
