We don’t necessarily need laboratory conditions — we can already observe an **N-period average and a value range**, which clearly shows a difference.

What we need is a **normal usage scenario**.

Also, we’re **not looking for temporary spikes or drops** in packet size.

We're specifically looking for **differences in the range of average packet sizes** — please take another look at the chart in the first post.

I truly appreciate your perspective. I hope this theory gains attention and recognition. In my view, it’s valid — and if it turns out to be true, it completely undermines the competitive integrity of these games.

Hopefully, someday a proper scientist will investigate this and provide real clarity.

Hey guys, you don't seem to hear me. I'll tell you. The same provider in the neighboring house works perfectly, with the same routes. I'm not even talking about the same provider in another part of the city. They all work perfectly. The problem is only in the place where you are. Stop wasting time on nonsense.

My gaming laptop has the issue different locations and different network connections. Across different continents and states.

So it broke in one bad place with bad electricity. Now it will work badly everywhere.
There is no other explanation here. or an evil spirit has entered it or you yourself are charging it with static electricity?
How do you explain to yourself why this happens? Do you have a theory?

At this point I have no idea since it just doesn't make any sense. I entertained the body theory but still scientifically makes no sense. At this point kinda given up since I tested many things over the years with no avail and just look at the forum once in awhile to see if there's some new revelation.

There are many options.
There is a 30 year old "switch" in the basement of your apartment building., all oxidized, with a half-dead power adapter.
Broken or bitten wires of competing installers, twisted pair twisted in the air.
Fiber optics are laid in the basement of neighboring houses, and in the basement of your house there is a twisted pair through the sewer, which was twisted 20 times because the lease ended and the competitor simply bit off someone else's wires, the lease was extended and the wires were twisted in the air.
Nobody is going to lay a new cable.

You can have at least 10 mobile operators, but the nearest cell tower is only one, and it will work for all 10 operators due to the lease agreement between the operators. And the problem may start with the first tower. There are many reasons.

I often do not clearly state my thoughts. google translate is far from perfect. And in addition to the translator, I myself am mistaken. Do not take me seriously.

This is simply a protocol that sends lists of IP addresses for equipment of the entire ASN network, routers place this list directly in the "route list", eliminating the need to manually fill in the "address list" and write routing rules in the firewall for these addresses. If you decide to change the route, you do not need to manually write it on each equipment, everyone who is connected by this protocol automatically receives an updated list of IP addresses.
And there is no way to manage the route outside of your own ASN.
For ease of understanding, it's like a DNS server, only for routers.

Peering either exists or it doesn't.

In one game there are 5 people in voice chat, in another 2.
**differences in the range of average packet sizes** in packet size There won't be any difference?

On this forum 99% only pretend that it is important for them to understand something, and even you do not want to make unnecessary movements. There are thousands of messages: I want to know the truth, I need evidence. But many people offered to help you?
competitive integrity, what is this anyway? One player has a 60hz monitor, another has 600hz. How is this even possible?

Everyone has the opportunity to buy the best equipment, and buy a house or apartment near the data center where the servers of your favorite game are located, or an office right in this data center. Teams of players in lol, in full force, fly from Europe to Korea to practice with a ping of 1ms. Everyone has the opportunity except "themagic", Problem with skills :(

absolute right. Those who have ever felt how a game should work can never again associate it with the Internet.

TN_fun, are you being serious right now? Is this sarcasm or a joke?
Like... the laptop got infected with electricity? A virus maybe?
Or, as 100WATT said earlier — it suffered a hormonal imbalance?
