My cable 1.4 dp from ACER XV252QF was bad, it flickered and lagged behind I think because it let interference from the power wire from the monitor or was defective (by the way, remove the mouse wires from the monitor power wires I have it works and the mouse becomes smoother faster and bullets are registered, as soon as I put the mouse cable back under the power cable and shoot in ks2 no bullets are not registered), bought a 3m (better to buy shorter to 2m more stable signal) dp 2. 1 optical , flickering disappeared, the picture became smooth. If you have problems with the cable (flickering monitor, shaking) then I advise you to replace the cable. By the way, is version 2.1 more protected from interference than 1.4? Remove all power cables (except for the monitor) even from lamps near the monitor, as they usually go without grounding and add interference to the cables, mouse, keyboard, dp and the monitor itself. So think about it.

Guys please help, which fibre optics cables are you using. Hopefully show me the hdmi2.1 version, not dp1.4.

I can only find verg long length fibre optic cables, I can't find shorter ones.

I would like to use hdmi2.1 though because I have the zowie xl2586x+. It has hdmi 2.1 ports, but only dp 1.4.

No point using dp 2.1 cable on a dp 1.4 monitor. Hdmi 2.1 will have the least input lag over dp 1.4.

I think you should be wary of optical cables, as there isn't conclusive long-term data on them.
If you're willing to be a test subject, here's a list of them:
https://www.smartavlink.com/product/dp- ... ber-cable/
https://shop.fibercommand.com/products/ ... ndle-cable
https://ruipro.store/products/ruipro-8k ... 4352606444
https://www.heyoptics.net/products/8k-h ... ical-cable
https://www.activeopticalcable.com/aoc-pf-hdmi21
https://www.kingkabletech.com/

You are still not achieving pure galvanic isolation of your display from your electric circuitry, as the internal PSU of your Zowie display is still connected to your house's power through the PSU.
This is where a display using a external PSU (power brick) in form of a Linear PSU would be of great help, but your Zowie has a internal PSU
However, you are limiting the potential RFI your cable can pick-up or emit in the web of cables connected to your PC, as per https://github.com/djdallmann/GamingPCS ... /README.md

A good AWG HDMI 2.1 cable, such as https://www.club-3d.com/en/quick-view/2460/(CAC-1372), is usually sufficient.
Though, of course, pure optical fiber is beneficial.

Here's a post I've made in this thread, linking to videos discussing one of these cables in the list (RUIPRO) and the (very likely) internal structure of it: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14494&start=50#p114717

Does anyone know if this is a true fibre optic hdmi 2.1 cable, or is it hybrid?
