^ I contacted him via Steam Thread you can read his response here, what was holding him back was his 60HZ monitor so he bought a 240HZ XG2431 monitor and is now moving ahead full speed he said he got beam simulator to work but lots of work still needs to be done to properly implement it

Shader Glass is the greatest CRT phosphor emulator ever made its a universal app that works on literally any game any content with just 1 click.

Oh hi Evelynn. Thanks for the posting.

I was going to link the bounty from the chief himself but you already linked it. It's not quite the same thing but if the we can get him $200 for giving a mostly universal realtime solution. That would be great.
I also was not expecting the thing to already somewhat work on his end.

Welp. Should've looked the the second page before typing. Just two hours ago the dev gave an update. I also see you posted on motionclarity
I knew valve os could have it intergrated soon but I didn't realize windows could have it first and even as easy to use as a key bind.

^ Hey I had no idea they were working on it for Steam OS? WOW

Any idea if anyone is also working on it for Windows?

The shader glass App dev only just bought his first high refresh rate monitor he decided on the XG2431 and said he can no longer go back to 60HZ I am happy for him and the monitor he bought.

He couldn't have implemented it before because he only had a 60HZ monitor but he finally upgraded and said he could never go back to 60HZ now lol I must agree it was the same feeling first time I got a high refresh rate monitor.

What I am hoping for with CRT Beam simulator is the ability to play the MANY games locked to 60 FPS, like Souls Like games Elden Ring, the numerous new fighting games Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8 etc

And then there are the retro stuff. I love using shader glass for Retro games on my OLED Monitor.

Well that's what the bounty is for. Windows drivers. The oldest cards still getting driver updates is the gtx 7xx i believe? So anyone with up to 10 year old hardware would benefit. Even igpus could play games at 1080p "960hz" in the near future.

I'm also a bit suprised you are happy he got that specific monitor. I thought you quite disliked the coating on it. Well it certainly has 1000fps clarity if nothing else. 1440p 180hz displays are a full $100 usd cheaper in america.

Yeah the matte coating is harsh and horrible but the motion clarity can match a real CRT TV with 0 cross talk when using LVT tricks so there is no other gaming monitor that can match the XG2431 for pure motion clarity purposes and you can overclock the LED backlight voltage.
