16inch 240hz WXGA panel overclock/motion blur reduction?

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, ToastyX, black frame insertion (BFI), and now framerate-based motion blur reduction (framegen / LSS / etc).

16inch 240hz WXGA panel overclock/motion blur reduction?

Post by Cansky » 13 Oct 2025, 15:41

Hey guys,

I got my hands on a portable 16inch 2560x1600 16:10 240hz monitor with a Tianma electronics tl160admp16 panel. I was wondering what I could do in terms of motion blur reduction (software-based possible?) and see at overclocking the panel at lower resolutions for higher hz if possible.

I got the panel as DIY with a built in case, using mini-DP to DP cable, powered by USB-C. It looks very smooth, PPI is great for singleplayer games especially. I have no OSD other than a brightness knob, and the panel looks quite smooth at 240hz already (built-in overdrive since it's meant to be a gaming laptop panel?)

I play CS2 competitively.

I would start off with using CRU and testing/trying lower res with higher hz - but that's where my ideas end.

Any help would be appreciated. I can share pics if interested.
