Hey everyone! I'm kinda a newbie to this whole motion clarity thing but I'm looking for a low motion blur monitor on a low budget, and a lot of these KTC options seem to be decent.
I need opinions if this seems like an okay panel and backlight strobing implementation overall. I'm upgrading from a 165Hz one and am curious if this is a worth it upgrade (currently running G2412, which has 7ms response time, 165hz). Also for context, I think he runs his UFO test at 960PX/s, if that helps. I wanted to go for the XG2431 but I heard of the high failure rate, and its also too expensive so this seems to be the only one that is decent

Re: KTC Backlight Strobing Implementation? Best motion clarity on a budget?
This KTC you're referring to likely has a fixed duty cycle, which means that only the highest refresh rate mode (highest vertical frequency) will give you the best possible MPRT.
Achievng 300FPS @ 300Hz, across the majority of modern games (UE4 & UE5), is a futile endeavour.
Refer to the displays in my signature below if you want a proper solution.

Re: KTC Backlight Strobing Implementation? Best motion clarity on a budget?
I think my goal is to run at >= 300Hz/FPS, since I'm mostly playing esports and my PC can drive those frames (7800X3D + RX 6600). With this in mind, is this a noticeable upgrade from a 165Hz non-strobed IPS panel? or should I still avoid it?
Also, I checked your list you provided, and I think all the 1080P recommendations besides the Xg2431 and the dyac 2 zowie panels, are end-of-life products. I had initially wanted to go for the xg2431, but I've seen many failure reports and defects, which makes me hesitant to buy it. The zowie panels are also ridiculously expensive, and at that point I would probably prefer buying an oled + a new GPU
edit: I forgot to mention, the monitor is only 130USD (190CAD) after coupons, which is around what I paid for my 165hz back in 2023. i have a local seller offering a xl2411k at a similar price to this, so it would be between those options (unless you know of another panel around this price range)
