One disappointment after another. The one thing I wanted to see is "finally VRR flicker-free OLED".

Wake me up when that happens, because absolutely nothing else matters.

Uhh yeah, kinda disappointing! Haven't seen anyone even mention promising solutions. I'm afraid we won't see that any time soon. We're more likely to see 1000+ Hz OLEDs "replacing" the need for VRR.

The dumb thing of course is that the pulsar brightness compensation is the exact kind of engineering to solve VRR flicker across the board.

I will entirely agree that high framerates + high refresh rates are a great replacement for the remaining VRR issues.

But...speaking of pulsar, OLED or emissive displays in general could really benefit from a similar solution for inferior legacy low framerate content.
