Hi.
I need help with finding/obtaining a new monitor.
My current monitor: 30" 2560x1600 HP LP3065 has only dual-link DVI inputs and new graphics cards don't have DVI outputs. Passive DVI->HDMI adapters are only single-link (max. 1920x1200). Dual-link adapters are expensive. On top of that, after 18 years of use the screen is degraded - looks like there are stains. So it's about time to upgrade.
Requirements for new monitor:
Size: 36-43"
Resolution: 4K - 3840x2160
Aspect ratio: 16:9, no ultrawide
Coating: matte! I hate glossy screens.
Refresh rate: at least 80 Hz with VRR or adaptive sync
VESA mount
display type: LCD (preferably IPS). I don't want OLED because of burn-in
Flat. No curved displays!
No smart functions! I don't want a computer running OS in my monitor that consumes electricity. This rules out pretty much every TV.
10bit colours and HDR would be a bonus, but I can live without it.
After a very long search I found only two candidates that meet the above requirements and they are not available:
Asus ROG Swift PG38UQ this one is not available in Slovakia and according to reviews many of them fail early.
BenQ Mobiuz EX381U this one is not being sold in EU. Amazon US sells it, but don't ship to EU.
Out of the two above I like BenQ more.
Help needed:
I didn't check any less known Korean/Chinese/other brands since I'm not familiar with them or where to buy them. I'm not familiar with parcel forwarding companies that buy goods only available on some markets and forward the package wherever the customer needs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
