Did anyone ever find a fix to these issues. Also been suffering with this across all games for a while. In CQCB games that I play like Roblox Sword Fighting, I always get hit so far away, yet their side I'm right near them. Then when I try get close to them, I still die far away cause their side I'm somehow closer than I am on my side and my hit reg is awful. On games like Fortnite and CS, my hitreg is bad, as soon as I get peaked I die insanely fast, and games like rocket league even when I'm closer to the ball visually, I always get out 50/50d (sometimes It is a genuine skill problem since I'm not as good at RL) but all this happens despite having really low ping 8-25ms. I've changed setups/isps multiple times. I did have a really old hp elitebook laptop that would be absolutely perfect, I even moved an SSD with windows on it from that laptop into my pc and even stuff like that didn't fix it, and one of my old Asus 1660ti pcs worked fine. But every other pc since has had these issues. I did temporarily try Linux for gaming despite not as good compatibility, and that was noticeablely better, but still off in a lot of ways. Also my girlfriends laptop has this issue (it was previously mine), but her Nintendo switch somehow runs perfectly fine.

This issue genuinely makes no sense and it feels impossible to fix. The amount of regedit/windows tweaks + bcdedit tweaks I've done yet nothing is nuts... I have 2 motherboards right now and both somehow have the exact same issue aswell. I'd love to say it's all a skill thing, but when I go to my mates house and go on his pc, I'm somehow 100x better than I am at mine, and I don't feel like I'm 500ms behind the server visually.

Does it work well on a laptop?
Have you tried using the laptop with an external monitor via HDMI?
If it works badly with the external monitor, we can look for more information. But if it works fine even with an external monitor, then it’s probably something internal, maybe cables — a laptop doesn’t really have many variables like a desktop PC does.

I’ve read many times that for some people it works well on laptops and badly on desktop PCs. I’ve seen it not only here, but also in real life.

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

Laptops also have the issue weirdly, but not all of them, only some have and some haven't. Connecting to an external monitor also didnt fix it and sometimes made it worse. I have had multiple different monitors and hdmi/dp cables, nothing seems to fix it.

I just don't understand why it happens with almost every system I have, but there has been a few that have been fine.

That's why it's hard to put it down to internet or skill (I'm not the best at games, but can hold my own). I just wish it was a simple bios setting or something lmao

I have dealt with similar problems on and off for years. FInally have figured out the culprit on my machine and it has maintained successful results for the last two weeks. For me it seems that there is some conflict going on with nvidia control panel settings/ Nvidia app settings and ingame settings that seemed to have caused the desync I felt in all games but most noticable in Valorant. Simply going to the nvidia control panel choosing "let program decide" in the 3d settings option, and making sure that both apps were fully closed, not just minimzed in the tray, when playing games and suddenly all my problems with desynced shot are gone.

You mean Geforce experience by other apps ? and by "let program decide" in control panel you mean let everything just by default right ?

Yeah and then just close the apps in your panel so they aren't running while playing the game. I don't know why but its fixed the desync I felt in all games even offline ones.

He said completely different that what ur saying right now. He never mentioned GeForce experience and also he never mentioned everything default. He said to select the option - Let the 3D application decide . Also he isn't thorough with how well he has written . He should explain it better.
And also if I exit it from the tray it reopens again after 5 mins

Nvidia app and geforce experience are essentially the same thing one is just the new software nvidia has released. Also if they keep opening you can uninstall control panel and geforce experience or the nvidia app whichever you have.

i also had the problem with valorant desync, the interesting part was when ever i tabbed out and back my hitreg/desync was great for less than 1 minute. I tried everything like windows new install bios settings core affinity core priority and changing the favored cores to different cores also disable /enabling many different things in bios
btw my system is
14900k
4089 rtx
asus z790 creator
4k monitor with 4k resolution and fullhd res ingame

what helped me is just disabling windows fullscreen optimization and scaling to application for valorant.

I play with reflex on+boost
everthing else is disabled
e cores are disabled
ht is disabled

i hope i could help someone
