I can't figure out what it is.
I have this cheap set of speakers from amazon and branded as amazon. They are plugged into a dac that I also swap out to use my headphones. When my speakers are on but not plugged in, the 3.5 mm end just lays on my desk.
Here's the fun part.
As soon as there is something on my display, I hear feedback in the speakers. It's a buzzing.
It only occurs when I'm gaming, not when I'm watching youtube or doing anything else.
I'd also like to point out that this discovery had me replace my 3080 ti with a 9070 xt.
Both cards do it.
I can hear the thing that is causing my input lag but,

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Re: I can hear the thing that is causing my input lag but,
Its literally just coil whine from the GPU which you hear in the speakers while the GPU is stressed at high fps lol, this has nothing to do with PC problems because its normal, maybe you have a small ground loops but nothing harmful.
Try it with USB speakers, not 3.5 mm jack.

I just want to make sure you understand, the 3.5 mm jack is not plugged in. Is the coil whine causing that much interference that speakers not connected to the PC are buzzing?
Here is another factor to consider. If I turn the Monitor off or unplug the cable, it stops immediately. I understand that the GPU is not rendering anymore but it's still running at the same speed for the stress test.
So the speaker interference only happens if there is a picture being rendered.
