Mouse input problem.

Post by mxrrxr » 25 Apr 2026, 19:42

Hello everyone, this is my first time on this forum.
I've been experiencing input lag since mid-to-late 2021. During this time, I've changed my modem, power adapter, monitor, mouse, keyboard, mousepads, and completely rebuilt my PC. I've tried various Windows settings, different Windows versions, drivers, and BIOS settings, but none of this helped. At the time, I concluded that I had an electrical issue. But a week ago, I bought a UPS with a battery, and when I turn on the PC without power coming into the house (the PC runs on battery power), the problem persists.
I've tried so many things that I can't describe them all and I can't remember them all. Has anyone else had a similar issue? My mouse is very sluggish, too smooth. In games, it's impossible to quickly hover over an object, flick, or anything like that. You always miss the target because you don't even feel the mouse. This is noticeable even on the desktop. If you quickly move the mouse from side to side, you're already on the right, but there are a lot of cursors, and they're still on the left.

MSI B550-A pro, ryzen 7 5800x3d, ASUS Rog Strix XG259CMS, ddr4 3600

P.S I'm using a translator, so it's possible something is written incorrectly.

im sorry that you have to experience this, i know exactly how it feels. an interesting fact that you mentioned here is that you were plugged into a battery and the issue persists. this is so frustrating  . at this point there is nothing we can do to solve this, you can browse this forume page by page, exhaust google search and any other ressources online, never anyone were able to fix it. an advice for you is to stop chasing a solution and switch your passion to something else, dont waste more time and money

Hello bro, as a best input lagger i am, i can tell you that your pc setup is already broken and even on fixed place you will have problems. Once you used your pc,monitor, mouse on place with broken electricity its cooked.
GOOD LUCK!

Do not spread bullshit, your pc CANNOT get "infected" by bad electricity to the point it would not work correctly even at other location with perfect electricity, UNLESS something in it got physically damaged or literally cooked due to PSU ripple, but then you would have other symptoms like constant shutdowns or signal loses, and not delays / lag.

9years of resources if you show proof that you have fixed it with new pc in new place...
not just predictions and copy pasta from other people

I read your 2021 post, that "The long version" paragraph is a textboox high wiring impedance / harmonics problem, and it was caused by your neighbours installing something that emits a lot of low frequency noise into the line...let me guess, your apartment at that time was old with shrared neutrals and TN-C installation. I have literally identical problems like you desribed there, everything from TV not feeling smooth, monitor clarity and washed colours and blurry text, keyboard typing delay, not to mention mouse etc. etc., BUT in my case the PC works correctly at other location, I don't need to switch any part of the PC.

So, bad electricity clearly doesn't "destroy" your PC and monitor, as soon as you plug it into a clean electricity socket, it works pefectly fine.

It is post of my long year friend which i know him personally.. He was also moving on other places but everywhere he got the same issue sooner or later..
I know how this things works, i know it is little bit unreal. But for me, i was semi-pro player since 2015, i started realising this problem in 2016, in 2016-2018 i did everything what is possible to fix this issue, i knew it is becouse of electricity, becouse i started changing my PCs, monitors and everything. Until now i didnt fixed yet.
When i tried moving, changing apartments it was first day or two days very very good, alwayse i thought it is fixed. But everytime it happened again, randomly, without any change i started feel this issue very heavly again.. It was everytime, i also tried new pc or new monitor on another place, but without any result, i think only possible fix is move and try everything new and never connect any of your old pheriferals to your new pc.
I am not troll, this happened to me and my other many friends which i know
