The only test on this I'm interested in is whether or not this makes VRR redundant when running any FPS at 1000Hz. But I highly doubt any reviewer will test that because most of them are clueless

I'm interested too. As Hz goes up, the need for VRR goes down. Given that VRR flicker is a problem, this test would be interesting. We should be more vocal about it.
To be clear, VRR will still be more consistent. The question is where your personal sensitivity threshold is to this kinda stuff. I've seen people not needing VRR at 240 or 360 Hz already. I know I ain't one of them.

yea i went back to ips just because of vrr flicker, played some time without it but i could see some judder and tearing and that annoyed me. Hope someone will test vrr off on 1000 hz
