Monitor Scaling Settings/Modes

Post by Quajila » Today, 16:52

Does anyone know if the monitors scaling settings matter? Some monitors have them, some don’t, and some don’t have all of them.
They are usually called “1:1” or “pixelmapping”, “full” or “wide”, “aspect” or “16:9”. I guess they might follow the same rules as the GPU Scaling Modes, which do “nothing” at native resolution, but I do feel a difference across all these Monitor Scaling Settings, specifically in the mouse input.

I haven’t tested these in a few years, but I remember that “1:1” always felt more “raw”.

Do you guys know if any Pro players change this?
