UPDATE 2 | Fixed input lag and floaty mouse with UPS

This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Re: UPDATE 2 | Fixed input lag and floaty mouse with UPS
Sorry, my English is bad, and I'm using Google Translate.
I have this problem too. Don't tell me I'm imagining things; I can tell if the problem exists or not just by looking at the screen colors. I've been playing for exactly 20 years, and the problem started about 7 years ago. I tried a new ground connection, disconnecting the circuit breakers, and even a dedicated power line for the console. All of this improved things temporarily, but the problem returned. I even got an online UPS, and the problem disappeared for an hour, then it came back.

The monitor and case were connected to the online UPS system. The problem persisted. It only improved briefly after I purchased a new UPS, but the problem returned shortly after.

Re: UPDATE 2 | Fixed input lag and floaty mouse with UPS
If you aren't seeing any improvements with this mode, I don't know what to tell you, because the power is being filtered and being isolated, and plenty of people reported a day and night difference. I tested offline.spkii wrote: ↑25 Jun 2026, 11:40Im trying it on CVCF mode (same than CUF) i will tell results...gjk wrote: ↑25 Jun 2026, 10:21it's not running in line mode, I run it in "CUF" mode.spkii wrote: ↑25 Jun 2026, 09:59I have this one: https://www.amazon.es/dp/B072LPKMN3/?co ... dp_it&th=1

Re: UPDATE 2 | Fixed input lag and floaty mouse with UPS
Same problems for me in Line mode and CUF mode. My situation is:
I've tried two houses near this one, same problem. I didn't test much in the others. In this one, since I installed a dedicated line with 10mm cable, an isolation transformer that generates new live and neutral grounds, and an ONfilter connected to my entire setup—computer and monitor have GND Defender and DC Blocker—the latter has helped much more than anything else to improve everything (I'd say it's what has helped me the most in improving the feeling of smoothness). Even so, it's not perfect. In the morning when I wake up, it feels sluggish until a while passes, and randomly the mouse suddenly becomes faster or slower. It also gets worse when streaming on Discord or Twitch. But the biggest improvement I've seen so far has been with the DC Blocker.
My next step is to try a more expensive DC Blocker because the transformer has a buzzing noise that I don't like.
Forget to say it happens with 2 different computer and ps5 too.

Re: UPDATE 2 | Fixed input lag and floaty mouse with UPS
The monitor, computer case, and router are connected to solar power, but the problem persists. The issue only disappears late at night or when any metal objects are connected to the case with a wire, and then it returns after fifteen minutes or more, or less. I even tried connecting the device to the air conditioner's power line, since it's a separate line, after disconnecting all the circuit breakers, but the problem remained. Believe me, this is a difficult problem to pinpoint, and it might vary from person to person. I live in the Middle East, which means the problem is widespread.
Honestly, when the problem is on, anyone can kill me in PUBG. When the problem is gone, all shots are recorded, and even the screen color is better and clearer. It's even faster when opening the Ads lens.
