Re: XL2540X+
I can assure you that the 46X+ (all DyAc2 models) don't have the DDC/CI VCP commands present to enable Blurbusters Utility use.
Which means that you're limited to ~10% duty cycle (DyAc2 Premium) & 18% duty cycle (DyAc2 High) across the 100–280Hz range.
These numbers above are based on XL2546X values, which may or may not hold true for the 46X+
As for the XL2540X+, I'm afraid that your only option is to experiment / be a guinea pig...

Re: XL2540X+
Very late response but figured I'd put it here in case anyone wants to check in the future. It doesn't support strobe utility. I ordered a XL2546X+ (was keen to see how it was vs. Pulsar) and the doughnuts at the store shipped me the 2540X+ instead, they've already despatched the proper one over (so I can return this one) but I thought I'd at least try the 2540X+ before the 2546X+ arrives.
When I launch blur bursters strobe utility I get the error 'monitor does not support the strobe command codes'.

Did you test using VCP-tools such as softMCCS?t2na wrote: ↑12 Jul 2026, 13:54Very late response but figured I'd put it here in case anyone wants to check in the future. Some models have to be manually added to the BB util. Might as well use softMCCS instead.
Does the model ship with backlight strobing at all? Previous non-DyAC BenQ models required going into the service menu to activate the backlight strobing.

Re: XL2540X+
I'd boxed it up! It's not going back until tomorrow midday when it's being collected, I'll get it back out and check both the service menu and softMCCS and update the thread.kyube wrote: ↑Yesterday, 06:44Did you test using VCP-tools such as softMCCS?t2na wrote: ↑12 Jul 2026, 13:54Very late response but figured I'd put it here in case anyone wants to check in the future. Re: XL2540X+
Thank you!
Could you take images of the OSD menu & tell us whether it offers a form of backlight strobing in it at all?
softMCCS is the actual view of the available commands your monitor offers. OSD menu is only a part of available commands.
Make sure to take a screenshot of the model in softMCCS
it might be a similar layout to the 46X.

Re: XL2540X+
I've got the monitor back out but can't seem to access the service menu no matter what combination I press, seems odd. Any ideas?kyube wrote: ↑Yesterday, 17:39Thank you!

Combinations I've tried:
joystick toggle (menu) button pressed in for 5s, then turning monitor on whilst pressing menu button in
left on joystick toggle for 5s, then turning monitor on whilst left on joystick toggle
up on joystick toggle for 5s, then turning monitor on whilst left on joystick toggle
down on joystick toggle for 5s, then turning monitor on whilst left on joystick toggle
right on joystick toggle for 5s, then turning monitor on whilst left on joystick toggle
holding input button + joystick toggle in for 5s - then turning monitor on
I'm assuming there's got to be some combination that'll work - but weirdly there's nothing online about the service menu for the X+ range.

Re: XL2540X+
I assume it's some combination of inserting the power cable & holding the specific combination in question.t2na wrote: ↑Today, 02:22I've got the monitor back out but can't seem to access the service menu no matter what combination I press, seems odd. Any ideas?

I don't have information of the combo for DyAc2 era monitors.
Scroll down and find the following section:

Notice these "manifacturer specific" section? That's where backlight strobing should lie within.
Here's how it's laid out on the XL2586X, for example.f0 f4 - overdrive
f9 is brightness in osd. like 25700 when 100 in osd, 25698 when 98 in osd
f5 - brightness when dyac off
one of them is scaling mode iirc
dyac state doesnt change anything in these
