Fix for Desync, Floaty Mouse, Input Lag only for AM5

Post by naporitan » 08 Aug 2026, 13:05

ONLY FOR AM5!

* Update your motherboard BIOS to the latest version and before updating you need to disable fTPM and secure boot technology.
* After updating the BIOS, you do not need to clear CMOS!
* After updating the BIOS, you need to reset the BIOS settings to default.
* Do not install drivers for the motherboard from the manufacturer's official website or from the hardware manufacturer AMD/iNTEL
Don't update your GPU driver.

BIOS settings
- SecureBoot Standard mode
You don't need to change anything else in the bios, leave everything as default.

Preparing the system
To clean your SSD/HDD of the old system and hidden partitions with viruses, boot to the flash drive containing the Windows installer and press Shift+F10.
diskpart
list disk
select disk "your SSD/HDD"
clean
convert gpt
exit
- Before installing Windows, enable Secure Boot in Standard mode and disconnect the internet cable.
- Install a clean Windows 11 Home 25h2 using the media creation tool
To skip the internet connection during installation, press Shift+F10 and enter the following: start ms-cxh:localonly
- Update Windows through settings and also install "optional updates"
Do not install drivers from the official AMD, Intel, or vendor websites.
All drivers should be installed exclusively via Windows Update.
- Update all applications through the Microsoft Store, this is necessary as there are important system components.

Windows Tweaks
- Disable mouse acceleration
- Increase your audio and microphone volume
- Enable the High Performance power plan
- Disable all Windows animations and effects
- Disable unnecessary programs from startup

NVIDIA Tweaks
- Activate the Performance preset in 3D settings
- In the global 3D settings, set the power plan to Maximum Performance.
Texture quality on High performance
- Set scaling to display and full screen and activate override scaling mode set by games
To make display scaling work, you need an appropriate esports monitor.
viewtopic.php?t=15406
- Set the maximum refresh rate for your monitor in NVIDIA settings.

Game Tweaks
- Unlock FPS limit
- Disable Nvidia Reflex
- Best Video Settings for CS2

Monitor Tweaks
- Disable G-Sync.
- Do not disable DyAc technology or its equivalents.
BenQ monitors come pre-configured for competitive gaming, so you do not need to adjust the settings.

Mouse Tweaks
- Use the default black skates.
- Use a 1000Hz polling rate.
- Disable Motion Sync, etc.
- Do not use Xsoft mousepads, etc.; your sensitivity needs to be consistent.

Keyboard Tweaks
- Use a 1000Hz polling rate
For magnetic keyboards, this tweak will ruin the user experience

- Do not use overly aggressive settings offered by magnetic keyboards.
The server cannot track every single nano-tick of your movement, and your movements will fail to register because aggressive settings make you move too fast.

USB Tweaks
Connect the mouse to a USB port that is directly connected to the processor, and the keyboard to a chipset port that is isolated from other devices (RGB, etc.)

I read it, but I didn't find anything new in it. I did this a long time ago, and others have too—it didn't do anything.

Update the motherboard BIOS to the latest version, and before updating, you need to disable fTPM and secure boot technology. Can you take a screenshot in the BIOS and show where fTPM and secure boot technology are disabled?

What motherboard do you have? Usually, all the information is available in the FAQ section of the motherboard manufacturer's official website.

You don't need to enable XMP/DOCP/EXPO, etc.
