So moving did fix it

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

Just an update for people who still think this problem is EMI/EMF/Power related. I stopped caring about this problem long time ago and especially talking to new users who want to cope and be delusional instead of trusting users like me who had this problem since 2009 and were first to report it in 2012-2013. Anyways... just wanted to leave my yearly update in case anyone cares. I rarely visit these forums.. maybe few times a year now because i forget i have this problem lol i don't care about games now.

For the first time ever i bought my own brand new apartment constructed in 2026 that was few months ago and officially 17th place in a row where i have this problem :D Not that i was hoping it would solve this problem i had EXACTLY ZERO hope moving will solve it and i didn't move because of this problem. I knew that this was caused by something else by the time i moved for the third time and that was like 10 years ago.

So here is some advice for people who are dealing with this problem. Anyone who claims they solved this problem by moving or purchasing *insert random /device/product* is either:

- Lying to you and trying to sell you something
- Coping
- Lying in order to convince YOU to buy something they can't afford to test
- Relatively new users who haven't done their research and claim this problem is something that has already been tested before
- People like OP who were too excited and claimed they solved it but the issue eventually came back. You will find this happens all the time when dealing with this problem because people are impatient and have no trouble spreading misinformation.
- People who though they solved this problem but the problem eventually came back but they STILL refused to admit the problem came back and live in delusion. You will find people like this will refuse to provide their amazing new stats on FACEIT or any other tracker/game because they still suck at video games. If you solved this problem your K/D/A would jump from one of the worst to one of the best players in whatever game you are playing. In short: The difference would be massive and proof would be easy to provide.

I'm not claiming this problem is caused by our bodies but that is the only thing that stayed the same after all these years of moving around the world and changing different devices. What i will say is this is 100% an anomaly and not related to anything we know about.
Well, good post. But some corrections needed.
This is indeed a power issue BUT it is combined with the windows install and some other factors. It is certainly not one thing only.

Also, what I rarely see anyone say here is that "the problem" has different levels of severity. It's not like if you have it 100% or not at all. This makes it especially hard to diagnose.

And to that other guy who replied to you, yes someone who isn't affected at all and has even a tiny bit of game sense will simply destroy everyone. This is coming from me who also got banned from every server back then. Even when playing on my bed using a magazine for mouse pad LOL. Those who never experienced this godlike gameplay shouldn't talk. It's not about skill, never was.

A lot of kids here muddying the waters with their impatient posts and no experience. Watch out.

It is not a power issue. I moved 17 times. Did you read my post? You are free to believe whatever you want but you are also choosing to ignore the evidence. I lived in commie blocks, brand new buildings, travelled all around the Europe. Lived in a duplex in Austrian alps surrounded by nothing but mountains and snow. No source of interference nearby. I played games on a Steam Deck inside of a DIY faraday cage, inside of a car, outside in nature. It's not a Windows problem either. I had this problem on SteamOS, Linux, PS4, Nintendo Switch and older versions of Windows like Win XP and Win 7.

A lot of muddying the waters and a lot of advertising here. This is why i wanted to make this post if i can save at least 1 kid from wasting money on some guys products or even worse electrocuting themselves listening to some asshole suggest kids to mess with electricity... that's good for me.

You just said how you used to have godlike gameplay without this problem and i 100% agree with you everyone who remembers how good it felt playing with no input lag knows that the difference is MASSIVE- And here is the interesting part, how many people have come here claiming they solved this issue or they "know someone" that solved this issue and none of them ever gave their FACEIT or tracker/profile history of whatever game they are playing?

If you fixed this problem your KDA should go from something like 10/5 to 40/5 and this is not exaggeration. When you deal with this problem for so long and you solve it, your muscle memory and reaction time should be on a level of a pro player because you had to play with handicap of what feels like having 200 ping and VSYNC ON x2 and 30 FPS/Hz. It's like shadow boxing with 40kg dumbells tied to your arms and now being able to box without them you would notice speed and power difference.

In my experience it's part of everyones game, but seems to work as some sort of "server priority" that is constantly changing and the ones who got the base level higher are the ones competing. It's visible from pro matches, that the ones who got it the best are unhitable even for other "pro players".
You say that it's not a power/electricity issue, but turn a cable one way or the other and watch it change the game, you say that it's not an OS issue, but trying out different windows installs and tweaks clearly affects it as well. So maybe it's some sort of a combination of things that gets everything going and flowing. I've a few claims that work for me but like you said, no point in saying anything unless you've got clear cut evidence to show and this thing is hard to show, more of a feeling thing. Unless you truly get it then you'd probably beat the "pro's" aswell and that would be proof enough lol

Give me just 1 person who managed to find the source of this mythical interference/power issue? If you search "EMF input lag" , "Spectrum Analyzer" , "EMF Meter" , "RF detector" , "Oscilloscope" together, you will find that people have used these devices and never found anything. Now do the same for "dirty" power or whatever you believe this problem is. "Dirty power Input lag" , "UPS" , "Power conditioner" , "Isolation transformer", "EMI/RFI power-line filter", "Voltage regulator" , etc.

I'm trying to teach you like a 12 year old basics of problem solving skills and how to approach a very complex issue. You don't approach a complex issue by telling people who had this problem for 15 years, what the problem is when you never even did your homework. I never had any problems on laptop or UPS battery (plugged off the wall) so it is extremely clear that it was building electricity causing problems, which was fixed by partial re-wiring, new socket, and fixing neutral bar which had corroded and loose connectors.

And its not "emi interference", this is just a term that some idiots came up with many years ago, it is physical fault somewhere in the wiring (it could be in your apartment, neighbour apartment, or even at local street power box / substation) and not magical radiating interference.

And error-correction is working EXACTLY like that - it skips inputs and proccessing stuff so it can keep the PC turned on, which then you perceive as skipped frapes, choppines, mouse delays, picture delays ("desync") etc. The fact that not even a 500€ platinum PSUs cannot fix this is the proof that its not just "EMI", because physical problems with the wiring (bad grounding, neutral wobble and impedance, wrong neutral reference, neutral imbalance, voltage drifting and leaking etc. etc.) cannot be fixed by any commercial PSU.

Good, I don't need to talk to schizos who think that supernatural explanations are more probable than simply shitty routing connection and shit wiring or combination of both, imagine thinking that you can have identical problems at 20 locations with 20 different PCs and that the "problem" is not in your head only, because this would totally not be mainstream stuff with millions affected if people would be having this everywhere...as long as you have problems only in shooting games in a fuckin valorant, its server-side problem or geolocation problem because of shit routing, come back when you would have the same problems in single players games, in desktop, in chrome, in bios etc.

Where is video with your fix clown? Or we need to wait another 3 weeks?

What video? I don't play fucking shooting games so I have nothing to show you, I had choppines, blurry text, and floaty mouse everywhere in PC not in games
