But again you are not solving this problem by messing up with your OS/PC you are just temporarily reducing your system wide latency. There is no link to this being OS or display problem maybe you have a hardware issue. This is for "niche issues affecting latency" "Unexpected causes, etc"

Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Yep, it does, doesn't change the fact that i still have a visible advantage in games, seeing opponents before they see me, better hit registration etc. What you don't seem to understand after decades of being around this "problem" is that everyones experience actually fluctuates. It's just that the baseline "good" seems to be better for some peopleMaleGigolo wrote: ↑11 Sep 2026, 16:01Sure buddy. Nonsense. You have no arguments and your coping that everyone has this problem when that is simply not true most people just turn on their PC and enjoy input lag free experience. You are susceptible to placebo like most tweakers that's why you claim this problem is a mix of everything because you make random changes and you think you achieved something. I guess keep moving cables and making random changes to your PC and still being stuck in low ranks while 99% of players don't have to do any of that and only have to practice to get better.playa wrote: ↑11 Sep 2026, 17:39Yep, it does, doesn't change the fact that i still have a visible advantage in games, seeing opponents before they see me, better hit registration etc. What you don't seem to understand after decades of being around this "problem" is that everyones experience actually fluctuates. Re: Finding root cause/fix
I think everyone experience it, just on different levels. The ones in this forum are mostly players who have it really bad, that's why they have nothing else to do than try to figure it out. A lot of cs pro's are aware and have felt it, even joked around with it.Templar_Warden wrote: ↑12 Sep 2026, 04:24everyone definitely does not have the issue, if you think so than you dont have the issue. at least the one i have.playa wrote: ↑12 Sep 2026, 03:24Idk about stuck in low ranks :DDD 26K in cs2 premier, faceit level 10MaleGigolo wrote: ↑11 Sep 2026, 20:42Nonsense. S1mple lost all his prestige cause of it.
The "iron theory" (or "turning on the iron") is an inside joke and meme originating from Counter-Strike 2 prodigy Danil "donk" Kryshkovets. The phrase comes from a Team Spirit video clip where donk joked that he needed to turn on a household clothes iron to fix his PC's input lag. In esports jargon, "iron theory" jokingly attributes his mechanical skills or a team's performance spike to this bizarre, fictional hardware optimization trick.
- Quick quote from Ai
I'm willing to bet i could change the way anyones pc behaves(different recoil/spread, mouse movement changing speed etc) just by playing with the cables, that shouldn't be possible and it means that there is something we don't know about in everyones hardware

You do realise that i can see all of your posts, so pretty much everything you say could be said back to you lol. Go play in the desert or maybe let your girlfriend play on your pc to get better scores, so you could say it's the human body making u trash just to cope with being washed at games lil gigolo manMaleGigolo wrote: ↑11 Sep 2026, 20:42Nonsense.
