AMD vs NVIDIA Mouse Input

Do any of you own a 9070 XT? If you do, have you experienced any mouse input issues, such as your mouse feeling floaty, mouse feeling heavy, mouse feeling muddy, mouse feeling delayed or less responsive?

Also, if you do have a 9070 XT, and whether you do or don’t have those issues, how does the mouse input compare to on an NVIDIA GPU?

I don’t have these issues, as I’m buying my PC within 2 days, but idk what GPU to get. I can only choose between a 5070 or the 9070 XT, since both are the same price for me.

* ASUS TUF X870 Plus WIFI
* MSI Gaming Trio 5070
* Silicon Power Storm 6000Mhz CL30
* Western Digital SN730 1tb
* Thermalright Frozen Vision 360 V2 LCD
* CORSAIR RM850e 80 + gold 2023 certified
* Sama sv01 case
* 9800x3d

Also, in case my specific needs/uses matter, I’m mainly going to be playing games competitively, posting gameplay videos or montages here and there on YouTube and TikTok, streaming here and there on TikTok but might stream more often if it goes good.

Also, by playing games competitively, I also mean that I’ll be playing at either 1080p or 1440p, but on all low. I also won’t be using frame generation at all, just things like Reflex and dlss or AMDs equivalent. I know that this may make you guys say I don’t need the 9070 xt, but if that’s the case, it wouldn’t hurt getting it either way.

The games I will be playing are Overwatch 2, Apex Legends, Battlefield 6, Black Ops 6, Fortnite, and the new Modern Warfare 4.

I’ve tried looking into various other components, like different Motherboards, but this is the best I can do for my $2000 budget!


Also. I guess it should be an easy choice as the 9070 XT has better performance, but the reason I’m hesitant is because I haven’t seen a single pro player who uses it, or any streamers. I have used AMD and NVIDIA GPUs in the past, but I want to hear from you guys.

For the games you listed I'd say go for the 9070XT if you were just to play them, not record or stream, go for the 5070 it's a better content creator card.

As for mouse input lag you're fine on both, with the 9070XT being better but not worth just for the input lag improvement in your case.

I had a 9070 XT but changed recently to 5070 ti to get UHBR20.
They dont feel any different input-wise, so just buy a 9070 XT since they are a little bit more powerful to a little bit lower price
Unless you need full 80 gbps UHBR20 since AMD only support UHBR13.5 (DP 2.1a)
