DC-DC atx PSU

Separate area for niche lag issues including unexpected causes and/or electromagnetic interference (ECC = retransmits = lag). Interference (EMI, EMF) of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction latencies like a bad modem connection. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI. Please read this before entering sub-forum.

Day 4: The games are really good. https://youtu.be/A8xRcaVo2qg 1v1 with my friend in apex with wifi, Router is connected to AC so if I connect ethernet cable to the PC the game becomes worse (bad hitreg, display feels like 20hz and recoil is harder to control). So rn I'm on wifi and you can see in the video whenever I shoot there are prediction error and 4 icons appear at the same time. A lot of no regs happened ingame too. Also some important findings with the shielding, Copper and Aluminium shielding acts like a mirror. For example HDMI, Ethernet and some audio tech wires are shielded with aluminium foils to avoid external noises but it reflects the noise back to the source. Stainless steel with proper thickness absorbs a lot of EMI and it kills them as heat. It has less reflective property. Here is what happening in my testing, I added one Brass standoff near the GPU and it was touching the cabinets back cover which is (stainless steel). So it was slightly elevated and slanted the mouse felt terrible and hit reg was also bad. Tried 5 standoffs same result its really bad. The best result I'm getting is by placing the whole exposed PC over the back cover with a mouse pad, so I don't short anything. It was really really good. Had a couple of decently games not getting one clipped. I ordered a PCIE wifi adapter. Once it arrives ill test it more. Any suggestions if anyone have let me know. Peace!
"if I connect ethernet cable to the PC the game becomes worse (bad hitreg, display feels like 20hz and recoil is harder to control)" Yeah sure bro, we both know that it's schizophrenia/hardcore placebo. It's literally impossible.

Adrian
What "placebo effect" are you talking about, man? I have the exact same problem. Sometimes—not always, but occasionally, like late at night when the issue disappears—I’m able to get a high number of kills in PUBG. But when the problem is present, I lose 90% of my direct confrontations. Often, I die the moment I aim down my sights—sometimes even after I’ve already started firing! Do you want me to upload a video so you can believe what I’m talking about?

I switched to a full DC setup, 12V 200 Ah battery with a 600 watt DC to DC atx PSU. The issue is still not fixed 100%, its only 50% better, I'm hitting shots and FPS improved a bit but its not 100% fixed. My monitor is also a 12V DC 144hz monitor so its also connected to the battery. My findings, cuz of the PC and monitor shares the same power source, my monitor turns on even if my negative wire of my monitor is not connected to the battery, why? its cuz of the HDMI. HDMI shares a drain wire and shielding also it shares signal wires i think. So the grounding acts like a negative or something. Can anyone guys help me with this. Off the rip when I tried the setup for a few games the crosshair sticks to the enemy like a glue. Its hella crispy. I added some pics, you can see from the bottom my games good and soon I added my PC to the case it went to shit mode. So I had to remove the case and the PC is in the open.
Going back to the AC monitor was soo bad, I ended up getting one kill a game. Its soo bad. The DC monitor seems helping but the monitor still feels like im moving on 20hz and recoil is shit The only think thats good is the Hit reg. Its a lot better. Help! Help!.
Don't use lead-acid batteries because they have high internal impedance and cannot deliver power as quickly when your PC experiences sudden, high-power demands. You need an ultra-low-impedance LiFePO4 battery to handle these rapid power fluctuations and potentially improve power delivery by at least 75%. Low internal impedance is extremely important because a PC draws power dynamically, with sudden spikes in power demand lasting just milliseconds.

Show us your picture of your case.

Are you able test with completely different case with different case fans?

Maybe the case fan is causing interference or some strange metal part/s of the case acts as a amplifier?

You have to do the troubleshooting yourself. You are on right track. Keep it up!
Its a LianLi cabinet, I even tried 2 other coolers, I even stripped off the fans from the cabinet. Same results.
I thought the same too maybe Fans can cause it, so used the cabinet like a Faraday cage. After I put it inside my cabinet one of my RAM stick doesn't work. Even after i took it off from the case, my second RAM is not working. I tried multiple RAM sticks and nothing works. Only one RAM works on the first slot. So my FPS is stuck to 90 to 133 in CS. But it doesn't even feel like 144hz it still feels like im on 20hz display. The only thing that's common in all setup is my storage, 2 500Gb nvme. When I took the PC off from the case I changed the HDMI cable (honeywell) to a random HDMI cable came with the monitor. For 2 apex games about 20 mins the PC felt good. I hit 200+ frames on apex. If my PC is bad then it should not give me 200+ fps for only 20 mins when i change a display cable. The next time I try that its shit again. What is this cancer?
After upgrading to a LiFePO4 battery, connect the battery's negative terminal to your house's AC outlet ground using a thick grounding wire so that static electricity from your PC can be discharged to ground. I'm saving money to build my own power source because I've already fixed around 75% of my problems. However, I still have one major issue: my country's terrible power grid has very high output impedance. I can only address this by using either a DC-to-DC ATX PSU with an ultra-low-impedance LiFePO4 battery or a low-frequency inverter paired with an ultra-low-impedance LiFePO4 battery. I've decided to build my own power source using a low-frequency inverter and an ultra-low-impedance LiFePO4 battery because my AOC CS24A 600Hz monitor has a built-in power adapter, so I can't power it directly from the battery.

Yeah, man, this issue is definitely a placebo. Terrible smoothness, desync, inconsistent input registration, and the blatantly obvious hit registration problems are apparently all just a placebo. If I jumped into a 10-minute CS Deathmatch right now, I could probably record at least 15 more clips like that hitreg video.

He's trying different things (personally, I don't think they'll solve it. My own theory is that the root cause is a capacity issue with the main transformer that supplies electricity to the area/buildings), but every change can still produce a different feel. I've been dealing with this problem for so long that I've reached a point where I can notice even a 5% improvement.

If I connect ethernet to my PC which is running from my power station, thr mouse starts feeling heavy and text and visuals become blurry, not placebo. Just in a crap part of the uk

This makes no sense, because UTP cable cannot transfer any electricity to your PC, it is fully and completely isolated...unless you are using shielded cables, do NOT use S/FTP cables for home PC, like ever, especially if the grid quality / electrical installation is already weak...you won't "shield" your PC from anything, you will literally just create a ground loop which will just make everything worse...use normal, the most basic cat 6 UTP cables for 3€.

Maybe your modem switching power supply is fucked up and is injecting noise on your neutral path, especially if you have modem, monitor and PC on different outlets, that's possible, but it is not possible that ethernet cable would do anything to your monitor image quality etc.

A Google search says 'yes, ethernet cables can carry and pick up common mode noise', which would be my experience. Maybe some airborne stuff too who knows. Just have to stay on WiFi with these powerstations which sucks kinds
