[HowTo] XL2420G & Strobe Utility

Post by timmoe » 25 Dec 2014, 12:57

Hey Guys,

Yesterday I got my new XL2420G, and I wanted to try out your cool tool, but it didn't work at first :(
But now I have the solution ( I hope you guys won't sue me for decompiling your tool  )

1. Install the included drivers (I couldn't find them online, only on the included CD, so I uploaded them for you :) )
Drivers_for_XL2420G.zip
(57.68 KiB) Downloaded 266 times
To do this, use the Device Manager, do a right click on your monitor and select that you want to update your drivers and let it search in the folder where you extracted this

2. Use the patched Strobe Utility
Strobe_for_XL2420G.zip
(210.34 KiB) Downloaded 277 times
[Editor's note: This above is an unofficial release. Instead, I recommend you to download the official new Strobe Utility instead]

3. Profit

I hope I could help some people with this
If you were one of these persons please let me know this :)

Have fun with your cool Monitors :D

Appreciated! But I was also working on a beta too :)
Congrats for beating me to the punch...
Here is an official version:

New Strobe Utility now works with XL2420G's (works in Classic Mode over DVI)
