XL2411Z Problems

Post by pewpew93 » 02 Mar 2015, 17:12

Hi,

I'm trying to get the blur busters app to work, but it won't. The new version wouldn't even open (get windows shuts down program error) and I saw an older thread with an older version, which I downloaded and opens.

But, it says I have XL2411z V1 firmware, when I have V3 firmware according to service menu. I don't have the Generic PnP monitor thing either, I installed the CD drivers and it says XL2411Z (Digital) now.

Any help? Also, I have this weird purple line on the right edge of screen when I run 144hz, but I'm not sure if this is an issue with the monitor or just because I'm running a MiniDisplayport to DVI adapter (The apple dual-link one). 120hz works fine no issues.

Don't think it'll fix it but you can run the new version by starting it as admin.. give that a try.

Doesn't work :/

Maybe it's because I'm using a dual-link adapter for my laptop from minidisplayport to DVI. If I run the newer version of utility and do the run-administrator I get an error that it's unable to communicate with the monitor and I checked to make sure everything is as it says. The only one I can't find is burn-in mode, but my monitor settings are as out of box so I feel like it shouldn't be a problem.
