Most likely, strobe utility won't work with XL2730Z for the same reason it won't work with XL2430T; it won't accept this type of DCC communication. If strobe phase and duty do not work, you can change it in the OSD now. You can also enable SINGLE STROBE through the monitor's service menu to unlock 60 hz strobing as well as strobe phase/duty adjustments (usually this is automatically enabled at 100hz-144 hz by default, but there may be some bugs with blur reduction settings applying unless you FORCE single strobe ON, through the service menu: See below (lower part of this post).

Since you have this monitor, can you please do a BIG favor for us?
Since it's not a 1080p monitor, can you try and see if VT (vertical total) tweaks work with this monitor at its native resolution?
You will need to use ToastyX CRU and create a detailed 100 hz and 120hz resolution (you may be able to copy the existing values that are shown for 60hz; the 1080p monitors had these default values (This was from 2720Z:)
1920x1080, 100 hz
Front porch 88, 4 (pixels/lines)
Sync width 44, 5
back porch/blanking (leave default, they fill in automatically)
Horizontal total 2200
Vertical total: 1500 or 1502
Pixel clock: 330.00 (vt 1500); does not require patcher; 330.44 (vt 1502): does require patcher
(THESE VALUES WERE FOR 2720Z, 2420Z AND 2411Z! not 2730z, you will need to test values yourself!)
120hz could not use these exact timings as pixel clock was 396.00 MHz and sometimes caused screen corruption:
But using reduced timings of front porch 48,3 ; sync width 32, 5 HT: 2080, VT 1500 (374.40 MHz pixel clock with patcher required) did work.
Can you experiment and find out which VT's will work on yours?
I suggest you start at 100 hz. Set your screen to 60hz first, and then make sure you download the toastyx driver restarter (it will make ur life MUCH easier).
Then try using whatever 'default' values are there for 60hz, into a 100hz custom resolution ,then increase the vertical total.
You want to increase the VT as high as possible until the monitor goes BLACK and shows "out of range".
On the XL2720Z, once you got past the "Lightboost VT range (<1180), you would get a "out of range" error around VT 1200, BUT you would still get a picture anyway. Once you got to VT 1250, the out of range error went away, but strobing was erratic and pulsating. Once you got to VT 1300, strobing worked fine. VT 1500 (or VT 1502) gave the lowest top to bottom band crosstalk and was the most you could get (very close to lightboost quality) before the screen goes black with out of range.
If you could do some tests and check for us if this monitor accepts VT tweaks ,it would be great.
and about strobe duty/phase,
You can adjust this in the service menu.
How to enter the service menu on 2720Z:
Power off,
Hold down button #4 (MENU) for 5 seconds ,then press power while holding down MENU.
Then release. Eyecare logo will be bypassed and service menu is accessible.
(FACTORY service menu is button #3 (enter) and #4 for 5 seconds, then press power on). If this is done correctly ,the INPUT OSD popup (DVI, HDMI, etc) will not appear at all after powering on.
Here is a guide on how Masterotaku tested VT tweaks on older Z series with VT limits:
