xl2420z problem

Post by roxorek » 24 Apr 2015, 09:43

Hello, I have XL2420Z v2, but when I try to run strobe utility I get this: http://prntscr.com/6xmaws
How do I change it so it's not detected as a generic pnp? I've tried to google some drivers but didn't find any.
Thanks in advance for any help

Did you install the monitor driver from the CD?
To install it, do NOT double click the INF.
You need to go to control panel, display, advanced, monitor, and then click update driver.

Second, when you power on the monitor, is the power light white, or orange?
I need to know this because some monitors come shipped with burn-in mode enabled (switch to HDMI input to find out for sure).

BTW you can always use the service menu to adjust the same settings that the windows utility allows you to adjust.
And you can do this in games without having to alt tab.

To access service menu:
power off
hold MENU button (#4) for 5 seconds
power on while still holding menu.

Benq eye care logo screen will be bypassed if you did it right.

Glad it worked. BTW XL2411Z's service menus (strobe menu and burn in factory menu) seem to be entered with different buttons than XL2420Z and XL2430T/2720Z's buttons.
