Nvidia GPU scaling creates INSANE input lag?

Post by Vantavia » 13 Jul 2015, 18:24

When GPU scaling is enabled I get INSANE input lag, much like the feeling of vsync.

If I use toastyx lightboost it forces GPU scaling which increases my input lag so much there is no reason at all to do it considering even the best monitors have ATLEAST 10ms of lag (over a frame) of input lag in the first place.

My XL2411T also crys when it gets signal native to the scaler such as 1440x900 @ 120hz. It says to use the cable that came with the monitor which I don't have. Yet it operates at 1920 x 1080 at 120hz just fine.

I ordered a new dual link dvi cable that claims it has higher bandwidth  to see if this resolves anything.

How are you measuring this latency?
I thought people had previously recorded the effects of GPU scaling to be negligible.

I did and it was nothing.
