Anyone with this monitor notice some faint horizontal grey lines at 144 hz?

This has been an issue on this particular AU panel across several models. If you see it at 144hz, RMA it if it's distracting.
People first reported it with the Asus VG248QE, but it was usually ONLY present in Lightboost mode, as that pushes the panel to the limits by using a LC panel update to accelerate the scanout (this reduces crosstalk during strobing). This even happens on the XL2720Z 27" benq in lightboost mode. You also see it when using a Vertical Total 1500 tweak (VT tweaks do basically the same thing as accelerated scanout on lightboost mode, except this is for benq blur reduction instead). Some worse samples of the VG248QE showed it at 144hz also

Those scanlines should not be present in 144hz mode at all. So if it's annoying, you can RMA it. If you don't notice it at all at 120hz, you may just consider keeping it.
