ViewSonic XG2402 144hz on sale!

Post by Notty_PT » 19 Feb 2019, 08:48

My favourite gaming monitor ever, ViewSonic XG2402 144hz is on sale on European Ebay for 210€. I doubt you will be able to get this beauty for a better price. The seller is official and has enormous feedback.

Just to remind you, I tried basically every 240hz monitor out there and I ended up using this model as my daily driver, due to the fact it has barely higher input lag than 240hz (4,1ms vs 3,7ms according to rtings), being the fastest 144hz monitor ever made. More details on viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4914

Just wanted to post this because I know a lot of users want this model.

I'm one of them. Waiting for a lower price from Amazon.
I was jumping to get it but i noticed it is a used product, so i don't know what to expect.
They always make a generic description of what the problem is without actually mentioning what's specific issue it has.
If the seller could actually guarantee what's wrong with the monitor i would get it.
I guess i will keep waiting.

I don't trust Amazon warehouse, they sell you returned products that are defective or cables are missing, even if categorized "Like New".

I'd love to see. Please post the European eBay link?

I only see the US/Canada search results of XG2402 on eBay

In addition to Amazon links, Blur Busters is already an "eBay Affiliate" so any eBay links on Blur Busters will help support the operation of Blur Busters. There's no ban on eBay links. Thank you!

https://www.ebay.es/itm/VIEWSONIC-XG240 ... GTR=1#shId

State: (used the ebay translater in product description)
"It's unused B-ware. Either comes from a return the product or it's a piece of the exhibition. The product has been tested by professionals and is completely flawless. The goods may show slight fingerprints or have packaging damage."

It doesn't say the package is damaged, it says it can/might be. And if it is damaged, maybe it has more damage than what they mention and why it was returned in the first place.
I don't trust products when i see things like these.

That's called "B-Stock" which is kind of like "manufacturer-refurbished" (English translation of B-ware).

Manufacturers do that a lot, selling off a large quantity of B-stock monitors for a reseller to sell-off at a warehouse or auction.

Other times, it's not the manufacturer but a big source getting rid of its customer returns through a reseller, and sometimes this is done with the manufacturer's blessing (at least to keep the warranty intact). Ask the manufacturer (even through a side channel) if these are covered by warranty.

They're often pretty damn fine specimens and often fully covered by a full manufacturer warranty (but doublecheck!). Oftentimes gotten an incredible deal with purchasing "B-stock" or "manufacturer refurbished" (or "refurbs" for short). I've saved more money (than lost) via the B-stock and refurb route.

Generally, I trust "B-stock" and "Refurbs" more than "Used" because the latter is often more worn/damaged or out-of-warranty (there are exceptions though, with great users pampering their equipment).

That said, horror stories do exist. Do your homework. Make sure you do buy from reputable resellers (sterling feedback ratios with good return policies), and make sure that shipping isn't too expensive so that you can at least reasonably afford to return the monitor.

Exactly! B-stock is perfectly fine to me! I bought a lot of B-Stock monitors, basically most of them and so far I only had one bad experience with an Acer monitor that didn´t come with a stand.

And we should notice the price difference, wich is massive. The cheapest you could get this monitor on Europe is around 260€-300€ interval, 210€ for B-Stock would be fine to me, personal opinion. Also, altho it can be a hassle, you can always return if you find something you don´t like, but most of these B-Stock monitors only have the packaging damaged, nothing else.

I ordered an XG240R to replace my 27GK750F (want to go back to 24"). Looking forward to it arriving today. I hear the overdrive is even better tuned than the XG2402 to the point where there is super low response times with basically zero overshoot.
