G-sync feedback
Hi to all, like i said in another post i decided to buy a g-sync monitor from UK.
It will be very expansive and frankly before to buy i want to be 100% sure.
So, i need your help!
Someone that have it can pls tell me if there are some bug with this tech now?
I mean problems with driver black screen stutter ecc?

The problems right now are:
1. Lack of backlight strobing when G-Sync is enabled. That means if you want blur reduction, you must disable G-Sync in the NVidia control panel. It's very unlikely that this can be fixed through a driver update; it will most probably require a hardware upgrade.
2. The monitor will only have the DisplayPort connection active. The DVI and HDMI ports are dead and cannot be used for anything (regardless of whether G-Sync is active or not.) This cannot be fixed through a driver upgrade; DVI and HDMI will be dead forever and the only way to fix that would be a hardware upgrade by NVidia.
3. If your game runs at a higher FPS then the maximum vertical frequency of your monitor (144Hz), then G-Sync will behave like V-Sync, meaning you get the usual input lag. It's possible that this will be fixed in the future with a driver update, but I don't think NVidia ever confirmed this. For now, you will need to cap the framerate of your games to something below 144FPS (140FPS should work) in order to avoid this situation.

Very thanks mate, really.
Frankly i don't care about tearing or imput lag, infact i play everytime with V-sync.
My problem is stuttering and microstuttering!
Do you know how to elimminate them? a good monitor for eliminate them?

G-Sync eliminates the stuttering that's caused by using V-Sync and the game not reaching the needed FPS. For example, 60Hz V-Sync and the game running at 53FPS will cause stutters. G-Sync gets rid of that *and* input lag at the same time.CoMa wrote:Very thanks mate, really.

It's a 60FPS video, so make sure your monitor is set to 60Hz before watching it, otherwise it won't correctly demonstrate the G-Sync effect.
Also note that G-Sync can only help you so far as the game outputs a high enough FPS. If your game runs at 30FPS for example, there's nothing G-Sync can do about it. 30FPS is never going to look smooth simply because, well, it's 30FPS. Things start to appear smooth when they exceed about 45FPS or such. This is where G-Sync helps. 45FPS on a 60Hz monitor with V-Sync will stutter like crazy. 45FPS on a G-Sync monitor will appear smooth.

Yes. Refresh rate doesn't matter. If a game runs at 80FPS, G-Sync will make the monitor run at 80Hz. Hz and FPS will always match with G-Sync (this is what allows G-Sync to eliminate stutter.)CoMa wrote:is stutter reduced in a 120 hz monitor if i can gain only 80-100 fps?

There are always microstutters that are visible even at very high framerates. For example, 400fps@120Hz is smoother than 200fps@120Hz because of microstutters (harmonics between framerate versus refreshrate, and the distance step between consecutive frames). But you can practically eliminate the stuttering altogether, with GSYNC, if stutter-elimination was your priority.
But not as good as GSYNC.
If your GPU is powerful, raise your framerate cap. This reduce microstuttering, as 300fps@60Hz have far less microstutters in CS:GO than 80-100fps@60Hz. Stutters are also affected by harmonics between framerate versus refreshrate (e.g. 70fps@60Hz has a beat-frequency of 10 microstutters per second).
But it will not be as good as GSYNC in smoothing out stutters.

I have a gtx 780, thanks for the help i think i will order one g-sync monitor from Uk, i will pay it 462£, it's much but if it's so good, i will enjoy it.
