Methanhydrat, I'm going to try out Lenovo Y27gq-20 next week.
Hello, did you try this monitor? I plan to buy it (gonna sell my aorus ad27qd cant stand the ips glow and low response times, been playing it only on balance because the speed setting brings overshoot). Is it simmilar to the y27gq-25 ?

I had Lenovo Y27gq-25, not 20... and LG 34GK950F and Asus Rog pg35vq.

In the end I chose to keep LG 34GK950F, but for gaming the best is Lenovo Y27gq-25, and HDR Too...but i want a 21:9

Asus Rog PG35VQ was a disappointment...flikkering in sdr (whit new firmware...it's true not in all game, for example yes in CoD not in Battlefield V) and very annoying local dimmer
see flikkering https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xh9sIp1ezX4
and bad HDR for local dimming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uulGPSsQWQ

LG 34GK950F (video whit compare HDR whit AUS) has a very bad HDR...Lenovo Y27gq-25 has a nice HDR.

if Lenovo had been 34/35" 21: 9 I would have kept that

I have managed to sell my aorus and purchased the lenovo y27gq-20(it will come friday or saturday).I mean it fits in my budget(welp i wanted the y27gq-25 but too expensive for me).I am not sure what to expect(will not try to overhype myself because i know for sure that it will be worse in viewing angles and colours, but hey if its something simmilar to my old notebook with tn panel that i write from i can live with it)also after reading so many reviews i understand that the perfect monitor doesnt exist, you either get something - lose something. So i noticed for me personally i need to have that smooth gaming.Like playing some games on the aorus were so frustrating, like instead of just enjoying the game i was constantly like omg something is not ok with my game, like instead of just relaxing and enjoying the game i was getting paranoid, even thought i got good fps it made me feel like i play with some delay or something,i couldnt focus on the game.

it's true, the perfect monitor doesn't exist, but if the Lenovo y27gq-25 had been 21:9, it would have been perfect for me (including HDR)...or if the LG 34GK950F had been at 240Hz and had the HDR of the Lenovo y27gq-25.

The difference of viewing angles and colorour between IPS Lg and TN Lenovo is not so important

Whit the Asus PG35VQ I understood that the VA panels are not good for me:
without OverDrive there is too much Blur or Ghosting;
with OD there are other problems, they have a still too high response time to be good for fast-paced video games

Hey! I'm thinking of doing the same. Let me know your thoughts on the new monitor, also compared to the aorus.

Okay so i have the monitor y27gq-20 for like a week ,compared to my old aorus yeah the colors are more washed out. Also the coating of the screen is grainy as i have read in other comments about that i can confirm it.BUT the gaming experience is far more enjoyable, like it doesnt make me pro gamer or something, like compared to my aorus that i used mostly on balanced mode(which introduced huge inpug lag and blur) like there was almost no difference in my performance in games, for example like cs:go i still get similar stats.Getting fast monitor wont turn you magically into "pro",BUT its more enjoyable to play, its more clear.Like the first game i run on this monitor was apex legends, and the difference was pretty big.Everything was more smooth and this actually makes for more Immersive Experience where you can focus more in the game and forget to think about real life stuff.I think it all depends on what you want and what you are more sensitive to.For example my first pc was with CRT monitor, then i switched to TN so i am pretty sensitive to blur and stuff like that. But now alot of people didnt have the chance to use CRT at all,i have been using CRT for years when i was in school, but kids nowdays i think straight jump to IPS so i think if you are used to IPS dont bother to go for fast monitor. You will not like the sacrifice in picture quality.Me personally i am good to give up the better picture. So overall i am more happy with this monitor compared to my aorus, and i will never get IPS panel again,i just cant stand that glow, its so annoying.Never had VA panel so i cant comment how i compare TN vs VA.I dont know much about test settings and stuff like that in monitors but feel free to ask me anything about the monitor. The important thing is that i enjoy this monitor more than the aorus.

Update: I want to add something that i noticed. When playing cs:go (on 165hz) i noticed some random flickering(playing arms race where you die/respawn alot)so i was thinking maybe it must be something from the g-sync because when you die/respawn your fps fluctuates,so i decided to revert it back to 144hz.And surprise the flickering dissapeared.I dont know why it happens,i even changed to latest nvidia drivers but the problem still persists. Also i noticed that only when playing cs:go.

Hello,

I am interested in this monitor because of the combination of high refresh rate (240Hz) and high resolution (2560x1440). As well as low response time, I guess.

My question is relative to the available custom resolutions with this monitor.

Let me explain: right now I am using an AOC AGON AG251FZ which is advertised with 240Hz in 1920x1080. However, it was possible for me to create a custom desktop resolution (through Nvidia Control Panel) of 1920x1440@240Hz. It was also possible to create 2048x1536@240Hz. Both these resolutions are 4/3 ratio (I am playing an old game, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, with 2048x1536@240Hz). Given the 2560x1440 resolution instead of 1920x1080 and similarly to what was possible with AOC AGON AG251FZ, I was wondering if it would be possible to set a resolution of 2560x1920@240Hz with this monitor.

My question: Has anyone tried or could anyone try to create a custom desktop resolution (e.g., through Nvidia Control Panel) of 2560x1920@240Hz with Lenovo Legion Y27gq-25 monitor?

Many thanks!

Right now, with 2048x1536 instead of 1920x1080, I don't feel like I have worse graphics. On the contrary, the resolution is higher and consequently, the picture more accurate. Higher resolution benefits my game experience, that is for sure.
Now would I be able to have an even higher resolution with a 1440p monitor instead of with my 1080p monitor? Does anyone know for sure? Thanks,
