Some interesting notes:
It's worth noting DyAc in XL2546 is brighter than non-DyAc in XL2540.
Also, DyAC on XL2546S is expected to have slightly less strobe crosstalk than DyAc on XL2546

Can 240hz backlight strobing be taxing on the eyes? I remember years ago when I had 60hz screen with flickering backlight it caused great discomfort to my eyes, had to use eye drops etc... It all went away once I switched to 144hz flicker free screen.Chief Blur Buster wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020, 04:50Some interesting notes:

I'm currently on an ASUS VG248QE, which is a 7 years old 144Hz monitor. It has LightBoost, and for me it's really taxing on the eyes for sure, however that's some old tech, but I still can't handle the flicker - but maybe you just get used to it and stop noticing, and it would definitely be harder to notice at 240Hz in the first place.PixelDuck87 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020, 09:23Can 240hz backlight strobing be taxing on the eyes? Maybe the old models but the new BenQ panel has colors that look just fine after a little bit of tweaking. Here's how my XL2746S looks vs my LG VA panel:forii wrote: ↑29 Apr 2020, 04:48Well, if you look at the latest XL2546, they didn't actually add something really "better" than HP or Acer, there are some reviews that the colors are actually so bad on the BenQ.PixelDuck87 wrote: ↑28 Apr 2020, 21:28
I'm worried that if I buy 25f now they gonna release a 26f soon after with sub 1ms panel or something that performs even better...
If I knew that they are using the most up to date TN tech in 25f I wouldn't be worried...

Also, nothing beats DyAC+, all other BFI are cheap imitations.

Show me Black form uniformity, because this is what im struggling with my Acer nitro XF252Q, and thats the only reason why I bought HP Omen x25f
I fit comes to DyAC i think its no worth to use due to extra input lag, the games are so smooth on 240Hz TN.
Dyac would be nice to u se at 144hz TN or 240hz IPS

The fact you can't tell which is which proves the new BenQ have good color reproductionforii wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 07:15Which photo is wich? lolDirty Scrubz wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 01:06Maybe the old models but the new BenQ panel has colors that look just fine after a little bit of tweaking. Well it might feel the same, but from a technical standpoint, doesn't it still add input lag?Dirty Scrubz wrote: ↑30 Apr 2020, 07:48DyAc adds no discernible input lag, it feels virtually identical to plain 240 hz and this monitor has a measured input lag of 1.8 ms.

It's not like the monitor stops receiving data from mouse/keyboard/gpu during black fame insertion right?
Re: Acer Nitro XF2 XF252Q vs HP Omen X 25f
Alright I got today the HP Omen X 25f, I was excited, because I instantly like how does it look but when I turned iton and compare with Acer Nitro XF2 XF252Q I was like "ekkhmm
". (after calibration of course)
Colors are worse compare to Acer due to lower contrast, black uniformity is better but it seems it only boosts the black up, which I could do on Acer. Its only a bit better in dark scenes.
The OSD on HP is even worse, because:
-you can't save profiles and load them easy
-no shadow boost (wtf?)
If I compared the ufo blur test (ghosting) vs acer - the HP has slighty visible halo when moving (idk why), which I didn't notice at all on the Acer.
I would give it a TIE.
Acer = HP
I will test tommorow the Asus VG279QM vs MSI MAG251RX and focus more on these monitors, because I dont know if I like the TN anymore after what I saw today, they are all so similar, and the difference is minimal.
Can't watch the movies/netflix after i experienced how does it "feel" on the IPS (Asus Vg279qm)
