Ive never owned the 25 inch version. Only the 27 inch asus

From what i hear, the 25 inch version has overshoot on 80 OD at 240hz max refresh. Whereas the 27 inch has little to no overshoot at 80 od. Then again, it could be due to panel variances

Overshoot at 240hz ? That's a bad thing, I wouldn't mind if it were on 280hz. :(

yeah i heard good review on the VG 279QM but it was just slightly to o big for me, prefer a 25inch version, but so far the 25inch seems to have a worst overdrive, not sure if its due to the panel variances. but im hoping there be more review about the VG 259QM too before deciding. what about you? are you going for the 27inch or 25inch version?

I feel like this is yesterdays argument with the 240hz 1440p coming out (and that have already come out, i think 3 so far)

Especially with DLSS 2.0 looking good and sometimes doubling fps output, so you don't need as beefy setup to run the higher resolution at high fps.

But by all means, keep looking at what 1080p is best, maybe 720p while you're there :p

Either I'm getting the VG259QM or the MSI MAG251RX. The VG270QM is not for me, I don't think I can stand the pixelation and my table isn't deep enough to stay away from that, although I can see the usefulness for FPS, seeing foes bigger, and I don't think this is a big advantage that outweight the daily routine when you are browsing.
Now to think if the VG259QM can OD 80 OC 280HZ without overshoot that would be a gamebreaker on FPS, but since we don't have much feedbacks I will probably go for the MSI, because it's the fastest IPS panel according to RCL at 240hz and below without overshoot which is perfect to me as a FPS player. And on top of that, great colors for an IPS.

I just ordered the msi and only because i heard the colors are great. People said that the colors on the Asus are very bad for an ips and also that the 280hz is useless cause it can't keep up so I thought to myself what would be the point of getting that over a cheaper TN. If anything wait for the 360hz TN over the 280hz ips

Actually that's only on 4K resolution.

Note that that's also only for current gen GPU, with as shown above - the better the GPU the less the cost, so even better performance on next gen 3000 series.

Furthermore the new 3000 series graphics cards are actually coming with DLSS 3.0, skipping over DLSS 2.0 apparently so should mean better performance again.

Yes, the VG259QM and the VG279QM can. Those can do custom Hz between min and max Hz.
