I will ask if he can retest
60hz is going to have more lag for sure. you have to buffer a frame (16.6ms) I'm not sure but i think the best possible input lag with 60hz bfi would be around 23ms.
only way to get almost lag free 60hz bfi on an oled is with a panel that can do dual simultaneous scanouts like those oled bvm's the chief talked about.
LG CX OLED vs good pc monitor input lag?
Re: LG CX OLED vs good pc monitor input lag?
It's pretty much impossible for 23.976 fps film to look good isn't it? You either deal with insane motion blur on panning shots, major flicker, double, triple, and quadruple images, or you use motion interpolation.

Re: LG CX OLED vs good pc monitor input lag?
i just ordered a 65 inch LG CX which is meant for watching movies. not really for gaming but am curious, if i plug my desktop to it, and say play a game of csgo. (my current monitor is the 280hz vg259qm). so if i run csgo on the LG CX, which has lower input lag? the cx or the asus? the asus surely is better yea?
Re: LG CX OLED vs good pc monitor input lag?
The ASUS will have lower input lag at 240Hz, but the CX is no slouch for a TV either (near the lowest input lag available for a TV). Also, because of 240Hz scanout rate conversion on the ASUS, the ASUS has much higher input lag at native 60Hz than the CX, which actually makes the CX more suitable for console gaming...jnashville wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 10:15i just ordered a 65 inch LG CX which is meant for watching movies. not really for gaming but am curious, if i plug my desktop to it, and say play a game of csgo. Thanks for the insight. Thus the CX in my living room will be good for console gaming.jorimt wrote: ↑05 Sep 2020, 15:48The ASUS will have lower input lag at 240Hz, but the CX is no slouch for a TV either (near the lowest input lag available for a TV).
