Would someone mind taking some video/screenshots of 280hz ( if you can OC even more that would be cool too)

Adaptive Sync OFF

i had my monitor motherboard chip change.

"D120 is achievable by entering the service menu ( press the power button and hold menu (5-way), then press menu again and it will pop up on top left, there will be a small "F" for the service menu, click on it)"

Cant seem to do it.

So when the monitor is turn on, i press power button and hold the 5way button down? When i press power button, it turns off my monitor lol.

Can someone just simply tell me what is g2g response time on this VG259QM now at 120 OD?

Im not sure about this charts.

I have now MSI Mag251RX but I can return it because im getting the 3080/ti/super and I will have stable 280 fps, so I might consider switch to 280Hz, esspecialy I like crosshair overlay more on ASUS, because crosshairs oN MSI are tooo big...

My response time: 3.3 ms (g2) (faster mode)

2.6ms average at 280hz according to RTings with the slowest one being 3.4ms so 100% transitions inside the refresh window. The amount of overshoot is arguably negligible from my experience and noticeable lower than OD80 which was the most used OD at 280hz before we found out about the secret overdrive.

If you prioritize the gaming experience the Asus is indeed superior, it's not flawless, but it's the best monitor for gaming in terms of raw performance, panel binning and overdrive behaviour.

The MAG251RX looks better in terms of colors, if you want the "all around best high refresh rate IPS monitor" it is probably the MSI, if you want the best competitive experience reaching TN level performances the Asus is a no brainer.

Lmao what the fuck, on my unit it does not even remotely look like this if I run an ufotest and switch between OD80 and OD120.
OD80 has so much more overshoot compared to OD120 even at 280hz that sometime it feels I'm comparing OD60 with OD80 at 240hz.

EDIT:
Here's the pictures:

OD120
Image

OD80
Image

As you can see there is a very faint overshoot line behind the ufo with OD120, it's extremely different from the pictures taken by Rtings, other users confirmed that OD120 is something between OD60 and OD80, even RTings itself confirmed it so idk how it's possible that according to their pictures OD100 shows less overshoot than OD120, that's absolutely not the case

My pictures are not too good, I didn't have much time to make a perfect ufotest, this is just to show that RTings pictures for OD120 are madness and shouldn't be taken seriously.

I can take pictures with Frog Pursuit if you want more proofs.

EDIT 2:
I tried to simulate the exact same transition used by RTINGS by using the ufotest with white border on a red background and it looks very similar to the pictures that I previously took with the stock green background, there's no way to reproduce what you see with the RTings pictures, not even with OD100.

My MSI on Fastest at 240hz looked almost like your OD120, the overshoot was fainter but never noticed any during gaming. Should get my Asus next week and can't wait to try it out
