Overclocking AOC CU34G2X
Does anyone have experience with bypassing input not supported black screens when overclocking? I have tried everything possible to overclock this monitor past 144hz, including CRU, messing with freesync, and etc. The only thing I found to work was PBP with two displayport inputs, and could get each screen to 1720x1440@144hz. Therefore it's capable of much more.. The nixeus edg34 has the same panel and is supposably overclockable to 200 hz. I have tried the benq softmccs trick and it didn't work.

It's probably a firmware lock of some kind.
Unfortunately, firmware hacking (to hexedit-out the unwanted "OUT OF RANGE" watchdog) is not for the faint of heart.
You may find some weak link that allows you to defeat/bypass OUT OF RANGE, but unfortunately those OUT OF RANGE watchdogs in the computer code of the firmware -- is something way beyond most of us to deal with.
In theory, if you have an MSTAR ISP device or Linux firmware-dump knowledge, you could theoretically dump the firmware, try to interpret and hexedit it, and reupload the modified firmware. That's assuming, of course, the "OUT OF RANGE" watchdog is in the dumpeable firmware, and whether there's a way to NOP it out, enabling you to attempt uncapped overclocking.
Nontheless, this is not something I would recommend you do...

I got as far as trying to dump the firmware but flashrom doesnt have my chip listed as it's a MX25L3236F. Some vcp codes looked different from softmccs so I might try those. Also, when I checked the i2c addresses, displayport had 5, HDMI had 6.. Found a uboot patch file on macronix and driver but Idk what else I can do

Or maybe you should try to reflash the AOC CU34G2 100 hertz model to the 114 hertz AOC CU34G2X? If possible, the AOC CU34G2 model becomes a better buy.
