Hi,
I recently bough a AW2521HF and when i use it on 240hz and put response time on extreme i got a strong image retention
on like 2/3 minutes , so i ask dell and they tell me to try some basic stuff like:
- change dp cable
-change alimentation-
-...
So at the end they send me a new one but i still got the same issue
And i see on rting they put a 10 on image rentention so they don't have this issue
Here how it look:

So if anyone know how to fix it so i doesn't appears or what can cause that it would help
Thank for your help

I don't think there's a fix. I'm seeing several people report this when I google for "AW2521HF image retention".
You should probably return the monitor and instead get a different model.

For the price on my country i think it's the best fast ips on 240hz i can get :/
The MSI Optix MAG251RX is like 200€ more than the AW2521HF

Had the same issue with the same Alienware, returned it
When you see the issue on your screen try changing the monitors contrast and see if it goes away, it did on mine but other random pics still triggered it.

I already return one but , if they all do that , i don't know what monitor to buy honestly the other are way more expensive

For some reason out of the 24" 240hz I never heard anyone have an issue with the Asus one, maybe less popular? Seen on here and Reddit people mention the problem with the MSI, Acer and Alienware though. I should get the Asus tomorrow or Friday and hope it doesn't have those issues.

Well i guess i just have to deal with it because i don't want to paid 200€ to get the same issue with the msi tough.
Because i don't like the pn panel had one for years and the color is just awfull.

I have the AW2521HF (dark) and I was trying yesterday the different OD modes and didn't see image retention, at least when playing. I'll try to reproduce today what you did (I guess watch a YouTube video using extreme OD, right? If not, how to check?) and report here.
I've returned several monitors: the VG259QM because I noticed micro-stuttering while playing games with a lot of variance in fps and also because I had to be changing the OD a lot; and the MAG251RX because of an annoying red light zone in the bottom right corner, although the OD was way better than the Asus. So, for me, if the panel is good (and I think mine is), both Dell and MSI are the best 24' 240hz monitors.
In my case, the only doubt is if I should keep the Aw2521HF or go for the XG270QG.

Yes that it i just put the response time on extreme and setup on 240hz
And in like 1 or 2 minutes i start the see some straight on the monitor and after that i got image retention
