Can someone give me a good setting for this monitor, specific warzone. I want to see clear while having good frame. There are so many different settings on here. I'm not sure what to set up on my nvidia control panel setting either. I have a 2080 Ti

Does shadow boost increase input lag?
Personally, I've never heard of "shadow boost" affecting input lag on any monitor. Try it and post here your observations.

There is this firmware that has been uploaded for quite some time: 2020/03/06
direct download:
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/LCD% ... Driver.zip
What's confusing is, on their website the version is 2020/03/06 and everybody on this forums have their firmware called MCM103/104/105. And then when you download the asus provided firmware and open some files to check wich one it really is it's version 11/13/2019,1.0.0.0. Whats up with that?
So did you update it and how? Which MCM10x version would be the last one asus provided?
I don't own this monitor yet, but plan to get one despite all it's flaws

It is not a firmware, it's a driver that forces the icm profile.
You cannot update your firmware on the VG259QM.

Thanks for the reply, yes it's only an icm profile.
I ended up returning the monitor. It's a very nice monitor however for some reason while running 280Hz (VG279QM btw) it would boot up in 144hz mode. Couldn't figure it out so I returned it.

It's a small bug that can be fixed with CRU tho... :/

That's cool. I'm back on my Omen X 25f. I didn't like the 82ppi, wasn't a deal breaker but a big difference from the 91ppi. I might give one of the 360Hz models a try soon.

Btw, is that 60Hz input lag present on every firmware version (MCM103/104/105)?

Anyone know why freesync can randomly stop working in Apex also it never works in csgo at all. To make freesync work in Apex I need to restart PC then after few hours it will become solid 280hz again...

Check its enabled in OSD, also in nvidia cp or amd software, for global or specific game. If you're unsure if its working or not you can use "FPS counter" provided within monitor OSD to show you if refrash rate is fluctuating/synced with frame rate.
Also for adaptive sync to work ingame frame rate value has to be below the set ingame refresh rate value. For exmaple if your pc hits 241fps (with ingame resolution and refresh rate set to 1920x1080@240Hz) the adaptive-sync is disabled. So make sure you're resfresh rate setting is set to highest.
Sometimes turning monitor on/off can help.
